I'm tired of this shit. I posted my rage comments in the CL forum.

I was always, from the start, against this appointment, I wanted him sacked long ago, but this is the final straw.

Its getting embarrassing just to watch Porto now. We can't beat any decent team because of his defending tactics that never work.

Now, if we lose to Benfica, which is a huge possibility, we could see a once, 8+ lead, turn into 1!!!!

Get him out NOW. Put in Baia, i don't give a shit, just get a manager that has some balls.

Nando89
I agree, Ferreira needs to go. Not only are his tactics bad but we don't have any decent back ups out wide. I'm willing to give up the league if that's what it takes to get him out. He can not manage a big club.
Sumoloholic
I don't think they will sack him. You will probably come 1st in your CL group and you could very well still win the league. He has done nothing wrong. Yes some of the results may be bad but he is still winning trophies and doing well in the CL.

Hopefully he loses you the game this week laugh.gif

tropheys? the league and what?

No CL.
No Taca.
No Supercup.

We barely won the league last season, and at this rate, the same thing could happen, if not, worse.

CoA, won the league and the cup in comfortable fashion. And actually BEAT big teams and was entertaining. Theres a difference between the 2.

Plus, I'm tired of watching Porto, I really am. I have never been so bored by them. They play so slow and defensively and create maybe 4 good chances in a game and thats it. Another day of boring football of Porto putting a shitty game...

AAHAHAHHA

what big teams did Co Adriaanse beat???

Artmedia Bratislava???

Porto finished dead last in their CL group, Ferreira actually managed to qualify you in (lookes like two) straight seasons!!

Matieo10
I agree with Portista.

FACT!! We have been rebuilding this team consistantly for the past 4 years.

FACT!! We have too many managers since Mourinho left.

FACT!! Steven Gerrard is a bitch.

Artmedia is better than the farm team JF lost to in the Taca last year....

He beat Inter and you guys twice ... that 3 wins in 7 big games. While JF only one 2 wins out of 12 big games. Does that answer your question??

AS for the CL? CoA was hugly unlucky, each game was dominated than lucky goals came in. Like the game against Rangers, and the great job Meireles did defending that post against Inter. I mean the ball was on the floor and Meireles tried to head it. rolleyes.gif

But yes, if it wasn't for CoA, would players like Quaresma and Pepe be playing the way they are now?? I doubt JF could do what he did.

And like I said, even if we go through, if we play a team from England, Spain or Italy, We WILL lose.

Agree. but the worst part is that, change is needed in some of the positions for Porto. We need a creative mid, which Lima, is no where close to being Anderson's skill. While the idiot loaned Ibson who's getting praised in Brazil etc. Helton is doing poor now etc.
We need to find a consistent lineup.

I would like to see us have a GOOD manager for more than 3 years for once.

Gerrard, I hate him to, though I don't think he was being a bitch to Helton....
Sumoloholic
Ok... he may not win the big games. Although if you win the league and progress in the Champions League I think they will keep him again. Unless he resigns I can't see him being sacked just yet.
Portista
This is pretty much his last year. They haven't extended his contract yet...

Win the league or progress, I wouldn't care. I wanna do those things in comfortable fashion, not in the last minute...

I understand bemoaning tactical mistakes, motivational skills, not performing to potential, and most of your other complaints. Complaining about winning the league sounds like sour grapes, though. Win it by a lot or by a little, it seems above comlaint. I bet Benfica and Sporting fans would gladly change league positions with you last year.
Portista
I understand. But to me, winning the league by a decent amount is an indication of a good season.

Just knowing that if we win in the very last game and played the way we did, I know, deep inside, we do not deserve it. Luck struck us to many times this season. It wouldn't feel as awarding.

But I respect your opinion.

tautology
Haha, that was really polite. Don't tase me, bro; indeed.

I'm just saying. I've never experienced my team winning the league. There are many who die with that statement true about them. Porto have been spoiled domestically lately. Perhaps it's time to spread the squad thin by a really deep run in Europe.
Nando89
The only reason we won last season is because of a handball goal in the Pacos v. Sporting game. Its not just the tactics that piss off porto fans either Handle. We have better players on loan than in our squad. There have also been a few problems with players and the coach.
Portista
Yup very very true.

The two players I said that it was a bad move to loan was Lucas and Ibson.

Now look, Lucas, in Argentina, has one of the most assists in his team, putting in great performances and at one point, Argentina was thinking about calling the guy up!

Ibson, a creative mid who we desperately need, is in Brazil getting praised!

Jf also don't like playing players under 21 or something. Because Barbosa and Veirinha, 2 great young players with so much potential is on loan which does not make sense.

sadly though, with JF, the only way we will get to the quarters is if we prevent a English, Spanish and Italian team in the round of 16, because his tactics and lineups will do nothing but help the opponents....

And also in the pass, Assuncao, one of our best players, threatened not to play for Porto under Ferreira. Simple because of his way of coaching and attitude. And other players like Bruno Moraes came out saying that he doesn't give instructions during training to the bench players.

Bosingwa and Alves also didn't like when JF told the media that they didn't play with determination. It almost seems obvious that the players are not liking the guy.

First of all Porto fans are spoiled.

most of them went their whole lives seeing Porto win regularly the Portuguese championship. Unless they were a Porto fan before Pinto Da Costa took control of the club (which was in the late 70s/early 80s I beleive when Porto started to become the winningest club in Portugal).

you win the league year after year, and complain. Do you expect to be Champions League contenders every year? Look around there are many teams in the CL who in fact have better squads and players then Porto!! It takes a good coach like Mourinho or Jose Maria Pedroto to take Porto far in Europe!!!

Getting to the round of 16 for Porto is a reasonable goal, anything over that is icing on the cake. Porto is not Barcelona or Manchester United and doesnt have money to buy players like Ronaldinho or Cristiano Ronaldo. Even in 2004 when Porto won the CL, Porto did in fact not beat any clubs more "prestigious" than Porto... because Monaco, Lyon, Deportivo none of them have the pedigree of Porto. The only big one was Manchester United, which was honestly a (perhaps deserved) lucky victory, one that happens once in a blue moon they scored a legal goal it was called back and costinha capitalised on an injury time blunder from the goalkeeper. Even that season, you played Real Madrid and lossed 3-1.

The point is, its very hard to construct a world beater team when you are in Portugal eeven if you are Porto, what kind of coach do you expect to hire? Marcello Lippi? Mourinho?

SCP Guy
True right now Porto is the "biggest" Portuguese team (by quite a bit IMHO thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif ) but they are not a "big" European team...they have been playing well above their heads and all Porto fans should be proud as hell of them!...... Compare what they pay there roster to the top 5 paying teams and you will see what I mean.... This is still a game of money and when you sell one of your best players every year instead of buying and adding one of your best players every year it is tough to keep pace with the "big dogs" ... Think back over the last 5 years of all the great players Porto has sold.... does ManU Milan or Real do that? We are a feeder league and what Porto has been able to do in Europe the last few years is very impressive....

But then again this is coming from a Sporting fan not a spoiled Porto fan biggrin.gif

Don't agree at all.

Let me ask you this, would you want JF at Sporting?

I'm not saying to win the CL, but with JF, we will never go further than the round of 16 simply because of him. Not the players, HIM!. His tactics of defending is what costs us.

Its not just the CL though, its the league. We barely barely won. And he yet again blew another healthy lead. Porto play slow, boring, defensive, football. We have no creativity on the attacks. No imagination. thats what I'm pissed about. CoA, who was not the best manager but did provide entertainment, did provide pace, provided great attacking football and won the league and taca easily. THATS the manager I'm looking for. A manager that can play good football and win. Not one that plays shit football and win on luck after luck.

And personally, I don't care what people say, I strongly believe we have a team that can make it to the Quarters at least every season. And we show it at times that we can be very dominate. But when you have a manager that chickens out when Porto plays away from home or takes a goal lead and than lose because of that, its not because we don't have good enough players, its because of the jf's poor decisions.

Like I always say, just because some teams have players that are so well known, doesn't mean their good. Theres a lot of overpriced/over hyped players and it just makes people randomly think the team is good because of it.

We do well in Europe and I think we can go one step further with a good coach. And no I'm not asking for a world class coach, just a manager that is suited for the big 3 in Portugal. ANd Ferriera is very very far from that. Thats why Benfica sacked him. And I can pretty much see why.

btw
Porto beat Man u 2-1 and Man u were very very lucky it only finished that way. And yes the disallowed goal was bad, but Porto, in both games were better. I mean, MAn u only took 7 shots in total in both games while Porto had 27 shots in total and getting 58 possession in both games. Yeah, I wonder who the more dominate team was. rolleyes.gif

PS. I love how we are considered spoiled. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Benfica fans wanted Koeman out dispite getting them to the quater final of the CL and Peseiro got complaints from Sporting fans when he got them to the uefa cup final and was the closest manager to win Sporting the league in a long while.

The spoiling just doesn't exist with Porto fans. rolleyes.gif
