I'm glad that its Euro2008 time, b/c those friendlies are warm-ups for Europeans. But at least we get to try new things.

I hope that guys like Lavezzi, Higuain, Di Maria, Lisandro Lopez and other young guys get a chance to play. Also, Basile better try to get another goalkeeper for friendlies. We know what we have w/ Pato, let's see the other guys.

Specially, I hope that we see a whole new defense, our guys right now are not cutting it. We look really good against teams like Chile, Venezuela and Bolivia, but they have trouble against athletic type forwards; i.e., Brazil and Colombia.

Has Higuain declared his availability? Last time i heard he was undecided between France and Argentina...Also Di Maria? As much as he is talented im not sure he fits into their tactics, they dont really play with strict wingers, more playmaker wingers ie Maxi,Messi etc...

Higuan said that he want's to play for argentina.
Di Maria is a great player, i hope he gets some call ups for the NT. He's doing everything right for Benfica, the only not so good thing is that he didn't score so far.

Not sure why, not sure if it is cancelled, and not even sure if it was really suppose to happen.

FIFA.com has the game in Argentina's schedule. (if you go to the FIFA.com website, under Argentina's fixtures/results for the year 2007, the game is still listed. HOWEVER, Argentina's official website, AFA.org.ar does not mention the game, nor does it have it in Argentina's schedule-) there is confliction of reports, FIFA.com says "yes" there is a game, but AFA.org.ar says "NO" game. . . I think that afa.org.ar is most likely correct.

I'm really excited about the Argentina game! I live in NY, hopefully we will bring a good squad.

the year started pretty good and ended horrible.
12 games, 5 wins, 6 draws, 1 loss, 18 goals scored, 7 goals conceeded.

We have one more game to play this year. It's in Glasgow against Scottland on November 19th.
