I too have decided to get the adipures over the powerswerves. The strange thing is the size:
- My predator pulse II I wear a size 10.5
- I tried the powerswerves and size 10 fit me best
- I tried the adipures and size 9 fit the best
Does this make sense???
MackemAB
Jan 31 2008, 09:45 PM
Yes it does, i found basically the same thing.
adipures size the same as copas i think. and im a 8.5uk in them. absolutes in a uk9. powerswerves uk9.5
If I get K Leather V1.06's, will it hurt when I kick the ball? I know it's kind of a stupid question, but I've heard that before. Also, I wear a size 11.5 in Air Legends, what size should I get? And would these boots be o.k. for a defender, or should I stick to the Legends?
Sushi19
Feb 2 2008, 07:44 PM
nah it shouldnt hurt when you kick the ball [for me at least]. you just have to get used to the feel of the ball with them since theyre pretty thin. and unless you have glass feet, youll be fine. and yeah they are fine for defenders as i play defence also. boots dont corralate[???] to positions either.
oh and on the sizing. i wore a half size bigger so it wouldnt rip as fast as if i got my perfect size.

Feb 2 2008, 07:45 PM
Yes it will hurt (from my experiences with it anyway), much like when you shoot with vapors. But take a man pill, if you like them, get them. Not sure about sizing compared to legends, but i was a us9 in vapor IIIs and i got us9 in v1s. And boots arent made for specific positions, unless your a defender who doesnt want to get his feet sore from tackles
Pretty much what sushi said
QUOTE(Sushi19 @ Feb 2 2008, 06:44 PM)

What I meant is are they durable enough to go into a ton of tackles. You know how a defender would probably want a more durable stable boot as opposed to a thin boots which might tear easily or something of that nature.

ummm i guess. idk its probablly ok for sliding but in my case im the fastest player on my team and i usually dont have to go into tackles, i end up getting the ball from him w/out sliding on him... sorry not trying to brag or anything. i mean if i was lying it just makes me look like a douche bag trying to make myself look good over the internet, like all those d-bags that claim to play for man u, arsenal and are "ex-pros" haha.
if its more comfortable for you to wear sturdier boots [legends/preds/etc...] than thin ass boots [vaps/v1's] then you can try like... the evolutions or leggendas as those are pretty vapor-esque and are comfortable/study in either preferance of leather[leggenda's] or syn[evo's].

would appreciate some help, thanks

Im an ex-pro, I played leftback for QPR

(little britain joke)
Some tackles it wont matter what boots youve got in itll still hurt, I thought supremacies were chunky enough to withstand most, but getting stood on by the massive bodge in the other team made me feel otherwise
Ty if you like legends and you like the protection they give you, just get them
Sushi19
Feb 2 2008, 08:56 PM
daaaaaayuuuum. no way!!! you played for them???

haha
anyway... thats exactly like how people blamed the supremacys for rooney breaking his metatarsal when no matter which boot you wear sometimes those type of things are still going to happen, even when you get stepped on by a beast. if ronaldo broke his metatarsals, i bet everyone would blame his vaps for being too thin and unprotective.
I already have Legend Is and IIs, but I'm going to get some kind of high-end boot for cheap just to see if I like them better, I'm just trying to decide which ones I should get to try out.

Hey guys!
What do you think which are better - mv4s or v1.08s?
And which are wider?
Ayresome

From what I've heard the vapors are wider, also, I am not totally won over by v1.08s so I'd say the vapors are better

Couple questions...
1) Does anybody know of any US vendor that sells the MVIII R9 special editions? (in sz 9)?
2) Is there a major difference (touch, durability, comfortability) between the glossy and matte finish on the MVIII's? My two choices are the navy/white or blue graphite/yellow. I know that has been discussed on here somewhere, but any help would be appreciated.

2. i have had 2 pairs of glossy finish and 2 matte finish and the glossy imo are narrower than the glossy.

I dont know where I heard this but I hear Messi was getting his own cleat line from Adidas soon. Forget where I heard it from but if they did I think they would just be similair to the F30 but maybe leather and maybe a few tweaks here and there.

hey guys whats up, im new to the forum and i need some help deciding what boots to get, its kinda off topic but i need some opinions, i play winger so im looking for a light boot with good touch and control, a few choices i was pondering were... 1) MV III 2) Legends II 3) Tunits (probably customized ones) Price is not really an issue, just dont wanna spend 200$ on boots that will last me 1 season. But anyway any suggestions on some good durable boots would be great
thanks guys

official i dont know what boot to get threadThis threads there for a reason...
As for those three boots, given what you're saying Id go for the MV IIIs, theyre light, touch and control is pretty much up to how good you are but the uppers thin so you get a good feel for the ball

Has anybody had any problems with Profi's? Im seriously considering buying me a pair of these and i just wanted some info on durability on them. Do the soles split? Do the stripes on the sides come loose?
I wear a size UK 8 in legends and Tiempo's so should i take the same size or a size down as many have said that these boots stretch a lot. The profi's are supposed to be based on the copa's and i know the copa's stretch a hell of a lot.
Another boot i was considering is the adipure. They are selling for like 95pounds whereas i can get the Profi's for like $70 on ebay. Is there really that big of a difference between the two as the adipures also have that classic look.
If this was posted in the wrong thread can a moderator please move it then.
Thanks guys

I ended going with the glossy navy/silver mviii's. This is my first pair of Vapors because this was the first pair that was wide enough for me to fit comfortably (and I got them at a decent price with the mvIV coming out).
Thanks for the help, I do appreciate it.

Not knocking gravities but you have to be lucky for your foot to fit them well enough to keep them tight

Really don't think he was asking for criticism but rather an answer.
Best way to do it is leather dye, you can pick it up at craft stores or leather retailers. I've blacked out two of my boots and they still look great. One thing though, the absolutes have alot of plastic or whatever around the ankle, not sure how to do that part. You could either paint it or sharpie it, these are just thoughts not recommendations.
