^you got a weird color for cheap or you have an old boot you no longer like. Besides black is a classy color.
Here are my konstukts and legends.
I really like my konstrukts, they are great. Some of the color on the sole has gone away but thats ok, the upper still is pristine.

The legend blackouts look class, you've done as good a job as sushi did

The majoritys opinion is that theyre aesthetically unpleasing (theyre ugly), theyre heavy, theyre uncomfortable and not worth the price you pay. But therell probably be some people here that have had good experiences with them too though

Q: What's the difference (other than price) between the Nike Total 90 Lasers and the Nike Total 90 Strikes? Is there a big difference in quality because I don't plan to buy the Lasers because of cost.
And are both good for crossing (accuracy, height and curl/side of the foot) and dribbling? I know they are classified as having a powerful shot, but I play on the wing on the pitch and wondered if I'd have close control and an effective cross If I wore the Nike Total 90 Strike boot.

Q: Can you play with Firm Ground boots on wet muddy ground, and can you play with Soft Ground boots on quite firm surface. Does it affect your playing, because I wear SG on all grounds, and I was wondering if I should get FG ones????
Radcleat
Feb 27 2008, 01:29 PM
I used to have Strikes and I found a pair of Lasers for cheap, so I upgraded. The microfiber is thin compared to the thicker synthetic of the strike, which makes it fit a little better, but other than that I don't notice anything really different. The Lasers are maybe a little more fitting/comfortable due to the material.
As far as performance, I don't believe in the boot having a whole lot to do with it. It's all in the player. The only thing the Laser does is creates the placebo effect with those T90 rings that help you "put it where you want it." The boot doesn't make the player... so you won't become Rooney just by lacing on a pair of these suckers.

I would switch those... use SG for wet muddy ground and HG on firm surfaces. I have no idea why you would wear SG on firm surfaces and FG on muddy ground. That doesn't make sense to me unless you really liked the boots.
I would get a pair of HG boots for the firm surface because the cleats are not as long/high as FG cleats and you'll find that when your cleats put you too high off the surface you'll be more prone to ankle or leg injury. If the only part of the boot that is touching the ground are the cleats, you are probably going to get hurt.
I'd recommend using the correct boot for the right pitch type.

What radcleat said, youre asking for trouble if you play on firm grounds with SGs. Playing FGs on muddy/soft ground will result in you getting no traction and slipping all over the place

I think you can get away with playing with FG boots on a muddy surface, you might slip a bit but it should be managable. You cant play with SG boots on firm or hard surfaces though, you'll end up hurting yourself.

Does wearing your boots in the shower help them "shrink" any? If so, could someone tell me the right way to do this so that I don't fuck up my boots? Thanks. Also, is there any way that I could soften up my hard-ass Legends besides leather food? Thanks Again!

At my local Sports Authority I found a pair of what I can identify as either Nike Talaria III's or Nike Steam III's. They're on clearance for $40 and I'd like to have them as a beater cleat, it sounds like a great deal, except it would be a better deal if I knew what they were exactly...
SO my Q is: What is the difference between talarias and steams? What should I look for? I don't buy Nike's usually so I can't tell the difference when I see em. Thanks!
