The Roma kit is an Italian Cup Final shirt. I am led to believe it will not be next seasons shirt
they wore that top just for the celebration and wore their regular one that they have had for all season during the game. the one with the 9 on the back is a kappa future template. i think its for next season

Austria Wien 2008/09 Home Nike football Kit
Austria Wien unveiled their new 2008-2009 home football kit made by Nike, who bring a legendary Austria Wien shirt from the golden 80's back to Vienna. After the great success (with more than 6,000 jerseys sold in 2 years) of the recent past, this purple and white retro style jersey is based on the shirts used in the 80's.
Due to the unique, almost all purple design (with purple shorts and purple socks), it will be that the team will play almost all games in the coming 08/09 season, (both home as well as away) in Violet shorts. Austria Wien were founded in Vienna on March 12, 1911 as the Wiener Amateur Sportvereinigung by players and officials of the Vienna Cricket- and Football- Club taking violet and white as the new club's colours. The team claimed its first championship title in 1924. Amateure changed their name to Austria in 1926 as the former amateurs had become professionals.

i was talking to a marketing manager from Canterbury a couple of months ago, and when i asked him if they were going to be supplying kits for any new clubs, he was quite coy about it and just said "watch this space. there are a couple of big clubs we're in talks with, but i can't say anything other than it's going to be big"
something to that affect. i now believe that this is what he was on about!

Maybe when it says 'delivers to' it means for under-shirt vests and general non-kit gear. Haven't there already been leaked images of a new Adidas shirt?

I would be surprised, it could be Rangers though, part of the Umbro/JJB thing?

Red looks better but white is more likely so it can more easily be picked up be television cameras and commentators.

only in matches
Canterbury baselayers (apparently) are worn by a huge amount of footy players in training etc without the logos on. but in the matches they have to wear whatever the kit manufacturer provides them

Kind of a random question...
I've noticed that some Nike teams have been wearing different socks than what they sell to the public(at least what I've seen), that have a different colored foot than the rest of the sock. For example, Van Persie and Mendy have the sock on in these pics...

I was wondering if anybody knows what the name of the sock is and where I could get them. Thanks.

i think there is a big difference to what the public gets. when i was in europe last year for holidays i visited a few of the team shops, like inter and the werder bremen store. at each one, when i asked for a particular item like a shirt or socks, they would ask me if i wanted supporters or player issue...the player issue stuff wasnt on the shelves, and the difference in price was HUGE

Yeah, remember in the 1990s Real Madrid and Barcelona switched from Adidas to Kelme and Kappa respectively, and Milan themselves have made a switch to a 'lesser' label when they went from Adidas to Lotto (granted Italian pride probably played a part in that) It's not unheard of.
As for the under-kit equipment, unless you are talking about special contracts signed to Milan and teams of that size, a lot of SPL players are breaking that rule. A lot of Gers players and (off the top of my head) Steven Fletcher of Hibs have been wearing Under Armour all season, and Nacho Novo's Canterbury vest can be seen pretty clearly seeing as his top's too big for him.

it must just be for bigger clubs then. because i have seen a lot of Championship players and Managers with Under Armour stuff all season too. just kinda forgot!
and again, it really wouldn't surprise me if Canterbury got a big club like Milan, purely because of the technology there products use. stuff like ION-X is pretty much one of the best technologies out there at the moment in terms of garments etc. i've got a few of the baselayers myself that use that technology and they're pretty sweet

but i don't see Adidas losing out on Milan...pretty much Adidas's only entry into Italy and such a rich, successful team...
