I find it funny that all the Arsenal fans want all white sleeves when the only reason they have white sleeves is because Herbert Chapmen wanted to copy Spurs.

New Real Madrid home and away numbering for 08-09. Nothing great really. Madrid have never really had great numbering apart from 05-06

I don't know where its from. I just noticed Wheater wearing a new shirt on the Boro site today:

Mind you, that's the same shirt as our away kit this year but in different ciolours and different badge placement.

Why do Real Madrid always try do out do themselves with their kit fonts and numberings every season? I respect them for doing something different but it doesn't always work, the lettering for the 2003/04 season was one of the worst.

I always thought the 01-03 style, the sort of stencilled look, was pretty good. Unique without going overboard.

Well Boro hired a new PR guy recently and he was the guy behind bringing back the white band (or so I've heard) and the advertising for that. By lowing the season ticket prices, for under 18s, to £95, changing the badge and bringing back the chest band to us. Maybe we will have a vote on the style of next season's blue/black stripes.

In 2004, the honor of “Verdiente Meistervereine” (roughly “distinguished champion clubs”) was introduced, following a custom first practised by the Italian club Juventus, to recognize sides that have won multiple championships or other honours by the display of gold stars on their team crests and jerseys. Each country's usage is unique and in Germany the practice is to award one star for three titles, two stars for five titles, three stars for ten titles, and four stars for twenty titles.

Yes, and only counting Bundesliga titles. The one Championship won by Bayern before the introduction of the Bundesliga doesn't count for the eligibility to wear stars on the shirt.
This rule only applies to current Bundesliga clubs.
If you play outside the first two divisions of German league football you are allowed to wear one single star if you ever won at least one Championship in (West) Germany or the GDR.
