The Barca home reminds me of FC Basle

It's funny you should say that due to FC Basel 1893 being one of the inspirations for the blue and red colours.

Barca were ment to have the half blue half red shirt a few years ago.

Looks nice.

Dont like the yellow away tho.

Wow. Nike's on a roll screwing their clubs' traditions. First, an Arsenal home kit without all-white sleeves and now a Barca kit that doesn't even look like them. Nike's design team is officially devoid of ideas.

nike dont screw th kits up...they present ideas to the club and the club chooses which direction they want to go in...if anything blame the directors/owner/manager who makes the final descisions on the kit if your that bothered

I like the yellow Barca away but not the home one. No stripes huh.gif

umbro is now a subsidery of Nike so the designs are coming from nike, much like adidas owning reebok and reebok cleats and kits have adidas traits

The new PSG home and away kits. The home is what you expect but they've gone with an grey away, similar to what they had during the Okocha years.

Rumpelstiltskin
Throw back to one of the PSG kits of the 90's the silver one when they were sponsored OPEL.

That Barca away kit makes Arsenal's proposed new away kit look great ! laugh.gif
Blaugrana20
Dont like the home kit very much either, but the away kit is fantastic.

dont know why everyones hating the new barca home kit, it beats the marseille away golfer sweater. i like the barca one, fresh design
gtrswamp71032
whts up with the kits for next season it looks like all of them are really sucky and none are turning out good, so far we have bad jerseys from man u,arsenal, and barca theres only one jersey so far that is worth liking and that is the valencia one or the chelsea away kit but why is every other jersey look sucky
morientesfan910
its a rule, you have to make shit jersies, didnt you get the memo? Seriously tho the reps make designs and test it to see if itl sell, but I get the jersey for the team, no matter the look, because that badge matters more and it should be that way for everyone else as well
elbarca
Think the new Barca home kit is okay.. maybe it could have some more details but i think that Nikes shirt in generally could have some more details this year.. They are too simple..

The away kit is also okay but it has to grow a bit on me..

And to those of you who doesnt like them: When you try something new every year there will be a chance that they will make some kits that a lot of people doesnt like, but at least the club isnt afraid of trying something new instead of "playing it safe" like so many other clubs.. And if i remember it right Barcas first shirt ever was half/half so you cant say that Nike are messing up with the history.. Maybe in other clubs but not in Barca..

In my opinion the best kits we have seen so far is Valencias.. What do you think?

I'm much the same, I'll get all the Rangers shirts this season. How nice they are dictates if I buy them at full price or wait for reductions though.

is it me or are the club kits that nike are going to release not as tight as the national team jerseys that we've seen in the euros for example. I just thought that the nikefit technology was supposed to be tight fitting like the euro jerseys and i expected the club jerseys to be of a similar template and fit.

any thoughts?

I agree with you.. I have noticed it too.. The sleeves on the national team jerseys are very tight.. I have especially noticed it on the portugal jersey..

Weird it isnt the same with the club kits..
aJb!
yes portugal i have noted as well as south korea and holland

i am actually rather disappointed; as sad as it sounds, because i actually want a tight fitting jersey for a change shrug03.gif

Yeah im a bit disappointed too.. Its looks very well and I guess that its the first time Nike really make their jerseys that tight.. Correct me if you remember something;)

After seeing all the national kits i was really excited about the releasing of all the new club kits but i have to admit that im a bit dissapointed with the club kits in general.. But i guess they will grow on me like every other year:)

Anyone else who thinks that Chelseas three kits look soooo cheap..? The worst kits we have seen. In my opinion..

ye i think the best nike kit has been the celtic one, but i suppose there's only so much you can do with green and white hoops but the touch of gold has made it look very nice

atletico shirts once again aren't tight from nike, except for the keeper shirts???? but i suppose they're the same template as the national keeper jerseys.

Anyone else think that the away looks very similar to last seasons nike template i.e. Brasil??

Yes your right, it does look very similar. It's nice but hardly shouting out at me. Best kit I've seen so far is the Lens away, loving the chess board socks!

Dumbest thing i read in a while.....what do you know about Barca?? thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

The kit is spot on because

a) thats like the original kit, the very first one
cool.gif its also homage to the centenary kit a few years ago
c) it takes the meaning 'Blaugrana' more literally
d) its simple, classic and kickass and uses the already perfect template
e) the details inside the neck line (incl. our song) are awesome!
f) anti copycat technology (although this should be standard these days)

I'm buying it the 1st day it comes out

The away kit is another homage top (1974-75 kit i think) but i'd of preferred if they made an away kit that matches up more with the home one..
OPM
a homage to a kit that came out 9 years ago? pretty useless if you ask me...

Please. The anniversary of an anniversary? Weak reason to abandon the design elements of a kit that have been in place for the better part of eight-plus decades (same with the lack of white sleeves on Arsenal's strip). Besides, the Barca centenary kit had navy shoulder sleeves. If they'd really wanted to echo the original strip, they'd have given it a collar with the colors reversed. It's further proof that Nike will do anything to sell shirts, even at the expense of tradition.

And where have you seen "anti-copycat technology" on these kits? I'll give it a few weeks before we start seeing the Far East knockoffs showing up on eBay. If anything, simplifying the design makes it easier to counterfeit.

I like the Atletico kits.
But I like the lighter blue they used for the away last season.

It's hardly at the expense of tradition if that was the original shirt though. Barcelona have used the 2 halves design a few other times (I forget the exact season, the one after Ronaldo left, last Kappa top) their European home was 2 halves, though like the centenary it had different coloured sleeves. a couple of years ago Nike gave them 2 halves in a more disguised format. I'd focus more on the fact the shirt looks fucking awful than the fact it 'breaks tradition'. On the bright side, I prefer the brighter blue and red the shirt appears to use to the navy/maroon Nike have stuck with since making Barcelona's top.

Breaking tradition would be more like the fact Adidas have drastically changed Bayern Munich's home colours since the 1990s, or their reluctance to use purple on Real Madrid shirts.

Lazio Roma unveiled a shirt which will worn by Lazio in the derby of next season against AS Roma, the former Miss Italy Tania Zamparo, known supporter of Lazio presented the shirt.

5000 copies of the shirt will be made and the names of the 5000 fans who have purchased the shirt will highlight on the Lazio Derby shirt. The campaign subscriptions will begin July 3 and the shirt can be booked at the Stadio Olimpico and Lazio Style Valmontone. .. ...reminds me of the tottenham kit only worn once last season.

There's a new type anti copycat tag near the bottom hem in case you didnt know...sure nothing is pirate proof but better to try than not, if only to prevent early leaks of the kit from those Far Eastern knockoff merchants...

The 2 halves deisgn has been a motif throughout the ages for us and is the very definition of Barca. Do you know what Blaugrana really means? Blue sleeves are just a sartorial addition, it is not essential...

This isnt a copy of the centenary kit. Whether you prefer that or not is your choice but this is its own shirt, minimal and to the point and i for one think its spot on...

How this shirts dispenses with tradition beats me....care to explain how it does when it embodies all the motifs of the club, the Blaugrana colours, 2 half design, Unicef logo, vintage style socks and even has El Cant De Barca on the inside neck??? Well?

Visca El Barca!
