wow, no vertical sponser?
and ya both milans have english roots what with the st george and all. i like it
We went over this last summer when Inter's new away came out. The cross represents St. Ambrose, patron saint of Milan, and is found on the city of Milan's flag and coat of arms. The fact that AC Milan was founded by an Englishman and that the cross of St. George looks the same is coincidental.
And that ASSE home is pretty neat.
The new Ajax shirt is a little dissapointing, hopefully we can get back to the vertical sponsor very soon. I think I may try to find an '06 Home instead of buying this year's shirt.

New Ajax home

I didn't think I would see this but it's not bad, sure the old sponsor placement was iconic but they need to move on. That kit always represented that good era in the last decade and
that 95' squad which has been a burden ever since.

Im just wondering with everyone in this forum, I know you obviously but the shirt of the team you support but with other shirts do you guys buy them because of how it looks or does the history of the club effect you? I quoted above as although i like the shirt (and ones of the past) I would never buy a St. Pauli shirt as their fans and the club in general are ignorant scumbags.
For me I buy the shirt of the teams I support but outside that its based on the players I like.
Eg I got last seasons Real Madrid Champions League shirt just for Gago. Does anyone else do this?
I thought I'd chip in on this. When I was wee I would buy pretty much any shirt (outwith Celtic, Man Utd, England, Northern/Republic of Ireland or Wales) but as I got older and actually started paying attention to continental football more clubs hit no-go territory for me, some of them (Barcelona, Bayern Munich & Feyenoord) I actually already owned shirts for, and in the case of the latter I actually used to like, but now I won't go near, even if I love the kit (mind you Feyenoord have been tempting me, with Gio captaining them and Mols and Makaay, who I'm a big fan of, up front)
These days I tend to just get the Rangers shirts, the Scotland home, a Roma shirt every season. Anything else I get is either something I really, really like or as a souvenier of a holiday. I'll occasionally make an exceptional purchase for a player I really like.

I know someone's already posted the Lyon kit, but here is what it looks like when it's worn:
Also, Lyon's website has
a short video on their kit presentation. They look better when worn. The blue (away) looks nicer, and the yellow (Europe) is actually very fluorescent and actually looks a lot like Barca's yellow kit.

wow i never would have though that all of lyon's strips would be solid green/blue/white. im sure they will try and mix them up during the season..maybe?
and i thought about the question of why we buy shirts and i realized that all of the shirts i buy for myself are nike. i have no idea why this is, i just think they make kits that appeal to me more. also coincidentally, all of the teams i really support are nike sponsored (united, usa, inter, psg)

I hope the real one is similar.
Seriously though I can't imagine Pirelli wanting a small little logo.
