That is correct. It has heat applied badges, is climmer cut and the shirt material contains a high percentage of lycra

probably won some sort of competition or something like that shrug03.gif maybe won an auction

Yeah , probably an older fan who got picked to the photo , like it was with middlesbrough's home kit .

I have to say , I really don't mind this kit , it's nice and reminds me of Newcastle's third for last season , and well ... Argentina .

Derby's kits look quite okay this season .

The silver Liverpool kits this season are awful!! I think that they should have kept the black ones. I loved those ones!!

ya um ok, i was comenting on how it looks like chelsea, you usually nevr see a club using the same look as another club. like you will never see chelsea wearing a red top and white shorts and black socks or liverpool in a red top with white sleeves and white shorts. but i guess club identity has died and you all only care how a jersey looks
wokwikyen
man utd had a blue kit for ages. since 1968. that's their identity

Yea, at least the teal ones are somewhat better. I really wish that they kept the ones from last season. Those ones were amazing. The white, black, and red ones. smile.gif The lettering on the new Real Madrid ones look awful. sad.gif

Yeah , I only found that too , and when i emailed them , I first got an automatic confirmation message that a reply will be sent soon , and then got a reply from a woman there what helped literally nothing , just basically said , we can't solve your problem right now , call us . Although I just asked for a confirmation about them shipping to Estonia .

I'm sure there's another email too , gotta look for it . Or just ask again .

When you comment, 8/10 times it's a fail.

He makes a good point. United's shirt looks like a Chelsea shirt. As United and Chelsea are known championship rivals its odd that United would release a shirt that looks so similar to Chelsea's home strip. Its sort of like how Sunderland have a Black/Blue striped away shirt. Boro have classically had a Black/Blue striped away shirt so its odd that a rival team would choose to have a similar kit.

Why is no one talking about the Pompey third kit, it looks brilliant, as do all of their Canterbury kits. One of the best kit designers at the moment in my opinion.

exactly! you guys will not wear a white and red striped kit with black shorts right. Liverpool will not wear white shorts with their red tops and i havent seen them in blue. i havent seen arsenal in all blue, usually has yellow in it.
and valencia hates to use all white at times as it is associated with Real, but some people dont get it. glad you saw my point adam thumbsup.gif

ok i see it their, but my point goes to recent times since the rivalries have gotten more intense since the late seventies. I see liverpool wore it alot true, but i see chelsea had it one season, but anyways

No it is not official and the seller is actually telling you this although he says it is 99% similar to the real lextra one. I guess is is your best chance to find one like it as the real one is not for sale.

To an extent I actually agree with the point your trying to put across, but a lot of your examples are a bit off, Arsenal have had a few all blue strips, one as recent as 2005.

I think it's really ridiculous to expect Man Utd to deny its own history just because one of the rivals has a blue shirt. I mean blue is a basic color and the Man Utd jersey is a second choice one. The arguments about 'rivalry' are plain bullshitting. The rivalry was always there, maybe even more violent in the past.

Not sure I agree with the rivalries bit, think you're taking in everything TV tells you.

As for Liverpool, apart from a few early years their kit was ALWAYS red shirts/white shorts. The only reason it changed was because Shankly thought an all red kit made the players look bigger - no other reason.

what i was saying was arsenals had yellow that to me identified but oh well i already dropped
G-Hammer
But then some of Chelsea's also have yellow/gold trim.

Like I say, I do think you have a point about some people wanting 'tradition' when it suits them (ie when they like the shirt in question) but the premiership teams one isn't really a good example. As someone pointed out, Liverpool have never had a blue away top, but that's probably more to do with Everton than Chelsea. Keep in mind a lot of the 'rivalries' built up by TV aren't all that deep running - its simply a case of who are the biggest teams at the moment. 10 years ago Chelsea Vs Man Utd wasn't really the game of great importance that it is now.

Hey guys, make a new thread for your kit discussions. It sucks reading your posts in the "NEW CLUB KITS FOR 2008" thread.

New russia Kits

this topic is only for club kits.
paulmufc
United have always had blue kits here and there over the years, why would they suddenly not want to have a blue kit because Chelsea play in Blue?

As for the Arsenal comment, their colours have always been Red White Blue. Look at the old traditional flags.

To summarise, Arsenal and United have had blue kits as part of their history, why should that change because of Chelsea?

Well it is actually a discussion about a new club kit. Albeit one that probably is done and dusted now.
