Atletico Paranaense 08/09 Umbro football kits-

Club Atletico Paranaense and Umbro presented the new collection of uniforms for the 2008/2009 season. Atlético Paranaense is a Brazilian football team from Curitiba in Paraná, founded on March 26, 1924.

They also announced the renewal of the partnership with Umbro, partner of the Atletico since 1997. "Today we are extending the partnership and are proud to announce that Umbro will be with Atletico until 2011, with options for renewal until 2014,"

I know all black and red strips kit will look like AC Milan but it looks like they based theirs on this seasons Rossoneri's shirt. i.e the dimensions of the strip, the amount and placement etc...

Nah they'll wear the current one the entire rest of the season.

Aren't they going to wear it for a game as a sales promotion. Also if they are releasing a new kit why wouldn't they wear it...it seems weird that they would have 2 home kits. I would think that the lifespan of the old kit will expire with the release of a new one, but I could be wrong.

No they can't as their kits must be registered with UEFA at the start of the Champions League season and they then must use one of the 3 registered kits through the competion for the whole season.

its true that some teams wear there kit on the last game of the season but not all..its nt nrmally the top 4 teams i dont think

yeah. i call it 'new kit sunday'. the bigger teams tend to have a 'big launch' of the shirts to maximise attention, shame some of the time the kit only lasts a season...

Aww at first that Chelsea GK kit looked a hot pink in the small pink, shame...it's still nice though and quite bright...it will def alert strikers of where cech is standing, perhaps thats a bad move then for a bright colour?

Released for just one season, Manchester United and Nike have produced a basic red home shirt. There's been little imagination used when designing this one. It's plain red, very little white and the badge looks like it has been stitched on at the very end and is also a similar size to the Nike logo. The AIG sponsorship logo dominates the top. At the bottom side of the shirt, there's another sew on patch which reads, 'The Red Devils'. On the back of the shirt is a white line at the top and at the bottom. It's a shirt you'll probably love or hate. It is available in all sizes and in long sleeve. Nike has also released a woman's top in a similar design. (Launch date August 1st 2007. you haven't heard any jokes about man utd constantly changing our kit to finance debts that we've shouldered as a result of the glazer takeover? we mightve kept kits for a number of seasons in the past but recently, with the game going global, we havent kept a kit for very long

Yeah I was just referring to the fact that teams like Barca get new home & away kits every season while we get them about every 2 up until now.
