Does anyone know what Real Madrid's third shirt is or if they are even having one?
there have been pictures circulating around that show a white for home (obviously) a blue that's been totted as the away but many have said the away will be black so you would think the blue is going to end up being their 3rd euro kit. then there's the baby blue and yellow 3/4 sleeve GK tops.

lots of quality kits (chelsea home, black stuttgart and others)
but why has the puma stuttgart away have these stripes, lines and the italy away not for example if it's the same template ?

You might find Italy does, just in the same blue they play in so you can't see them?

Disagree about the Pompey kit, the current kits are much better. The new collar looks fairly rubbish, and there's way more white than blue - which seems odd, I thought blue was the home color?

Wigan have a new club crest-
QUOTE

Wigan Athletic unveiled their brand new club crest . It appears to be a re-working of Latics' famous tree and crown crest.
That image was the one displayed on Wigan's blue and white shirts when the club was elected into the Football League in 1978, far pre-dating the town crest that appears on today's shirt.
Latics Commercial Director Paul Hunt has been the driving force behind the new crest and hopes that it will mark the beginning of a new era for the club.
He said: "Wigan Athletic does not, in terms of a badge and crest, have its own identity; it is the town's identity.
"We feel we are strong enough as a football club to have our own identity."
This new identity will combine the club's past and future, and idea captured in the slogan, 'Remembering our Roots, Heralding our Future'.
Mr Hunt said: "It is about modernising but still keeping a hold on our history and our links with the local community and local supporters."
There is also a commercial aspect to the new crest as it will be fully owned by the club and will be protected from counterfeiters who make and sell fake Latics' merchandise, a growing problem for many football clubs.
I saw it being revealed yesterday at the Wigan v United game and, at first glimpse, liked it. The colors are a bit nicer and its a bit easier on the eye, but its all a bit childish looking. All these new crests are taking away from the clubs history and background in order to make it more appealing. Its like the MLS "crests" they all look shitty!!!!

Porto is an absolute copy of Hertha Berlin. Hertha Berlin usually wear white stripe, but Nike per usual likes to fuck with tradition. Hertha Berlin was established in 1892, Porto in 1893. Thus, Porto is copying Hertha.

Middlesbrough's new badge reflects the club's history with the "1876" rather than the "1986" - we also kept the lion

. I like Spurs' new badge, I think that reflects the history of the club. Wigan's doesn't look too shabby but, I agree, it looks a bit childish.

Yeah I love Spurs crest for maketing and on the kits as well, but their old crest had more significance. I like 'boros's crest better than that old round thing though!!!

This doesn't apply to Wigan, as they have no history.
They are a tin pot club and a disgrace to the Premier League.
Not a bad team, but as a club they are a sham. Shit town, shit club, no fans.

Is there anything wrong with collecting kits???? I don't give a shit if they're rivals because down here where I live football is meaningless and no one knows wtf the kits are. Btw I have a Preston North End kit from when I visited there, it that a sin??? I think not.
Fair enough, just think teams in the same league is a bit iffy. Each to their own.
North End shirt eh? Every credit to you. A proper English football club. You go in the National Football Museum?

May 12 2008, 06:43 PM
Yeah mate, class museum it was too. I was in Preston for Bobby Charlton's Football Academy at Myerscough college and we went to Deepdale to watch a pre-season friendly. It was North End vs United, great experience for me and there was a great atmosphere. I snuck in a beer or two as well, only kidding haha.

The new Wigan logo is a touched up version of the one they used for a short time, in the 70s I think. The one they've been using all this time is actually the towns coat of arms and I don't think they had full rights to it.

Got to agree. The collar has wasted it. I ordered one but when i got it I was dissappointed. The collar is too large and because of this it partly covers the canterbury logo and pompey badge.
