Real Madrid 2008/2009 home adidas football kit
This is the new Real Madrid home kit for the 08/09 season. Leaked pictures of the home and away adidas shirts are on the web for a while now, But Real Madrid will unveil next season's kit during their title celebration ceremony at the Santiago Bernabéu on 18 May.
The new home kit includes a collared shirt with black trim, while the away shirt is a cobalt blue with white trim. Both include adidas' revolutionary ClimaCool® with flow mapping technology which enhances player performance by keeping the body at optimal temperature.
The kit has been anatomically designed in order to optimize the fit and comfort of each player and includes 3-D engineered patterns allowing ultimate player performance through increased ventilation and moisture management.

could anyone find any pics of the new aberdeen kits?
also r man utd gettin a new kit?
I've been waiting for the new Aberdeen kits to be announced. We'll still have Nike kits next season and I think we'll have a new home and away top. I don't think we'll have a 3rd kit for next season.
We'll also be getting a new sponsor. Our current deal with Apex Tubular won't be renewed after it expires at the end of the season.
I've had a few emails sent to me at work of possible new kits for next season but they have all been paintshop jobs so far.

Agreed. I have thought that since WC 2006, Nike has been producing the superior kits. But I am really impressed with adidas after seeing the real madrid and liverpool kits. The chelsea kits are also quality, as are the Euro 2008 kits.

That's not Adidas doing. They seem to be the new UEFA ones, logo aside their identical to the ones worn by Rangers and Zenit tonight.

Not quite identical, but certainly similar.
I like standardised numbers in a league/competition, as in all of the English leagues from Premier League down to Blue Square Premier.

Yeah, makes it a lot easier to personalise shirts too! I was slightly miffed this season though, for some reason, despite wearing red numbers in the league on the home shirt, Rangers have always worn white ones in Europe

Yeah those lower case letters just look out of place and a bit immature for top flight football.

the uefa lettering just looks like they picked a font from word and stuck it on. looks poor and its smaller than epl lettering, even harder to see who's who

yes because you havent got a deal directly from nike like man u/arsenal...ur kit is supplied and is a template of teamwear which can be bought by sunday league teams and lower league teams...i know this because i played for a sunday league team and we had the nike kits bought from a supplier...you'll probably find your kit on prodirectsoccer.com under teamwear

It also has the Nike football logo on the sleeve (which all training products have, but no "top tier" kits) and some other minor details that support what you are saying.

so usually in the cl alll club teams wore lettering and font that the kit supplier supplied, ie nike put nike fonts on the man and arsenal and the adidas teams wore adidas font. is this now a special champions league font, like the bpl has and the football league has? cause im sure serie a and La Liga dont have a set font, as real and valencia and barca all have diff fonts, as does inter and ac and Juve

to me the font looks similar to (sorry for mentioning rugby!) the font used by the teams wearing nike in the 1999 rugby world cup. as nike make the balls, maybe they supplied the font...
an example below (i tried to look for a pic of the back of the shirt, but the shorts number was the best that i could find, sorry)

WOW to the Dortmund Away (quite rare to have a sash nowdays) nicely done with the sponsor aswell...
liking the new UEFA Cup and UEFA Chamions League numbers - that "unification" was long overdue.
I can hear the protests already from some corners who want the absolute freedom with the font .....
The letters are too small and thin tough.

Hate this lettering. Absolute hypocrisy from UEFA. They give these clubs all this shit about print visibility, such as Milan. Those letters are ridiculously hard to read, not just look silly IMO.

Real Madrid Away Kit 2008/09This will be the new away shirt to be worn by the Spanish Champions next season. On this website and on other sources, the shirt has been leaked and thought to be the goalkeepers’ shirt. However, now it has been officially confirmed that this blue kit will be Real Madrid’s away strip for the coming season.

In this picture, the shirt is modelled by Dutch winger Arjen Robben. It has a blue base colour, with the circular collar and details on the front and back being a lighter shade of blue. Shirts for the Spanish titans are manufactured by sport-wear titans Adidas. Their logo appears in the centre of the shirt, just below the collar, and underneath it, the shirt sponsors Bwin’s logo, both of the logos being white. The Real Madrid crest appears on the left side of the shirt when worn. The Adidas trademark 3 stripes appear on the sleeves, shorts and horizontally on the socks. The general feedback is that this is a wonderful shirt for the Spanish club, which will be defending its Spanish title, and trying to improve its recent European record, in the coming season.

I am pretty sure it will not be fake as it is and actual Formotion shirt with the shorter plastic type shoulder stripes which is the actual shirt worn by the players as opposed to the longer stripe whihc are stiched on replicas. With the rear sponsor added I would guess it is a prepared presentation shirt for the unveiling

It appears that adidas are going for the 80s retro look and invading their back catalogue, cf this Ivan Lendl tennis shirt from back in the day:
