How do you think the partnership will go? They are very similar in terms of that they are "targetmen" and they don't create goals of each other, they will depend on midfield for creating chances. Klose is more creative than Toni, and can rack up a good amount of assists, however he is considered a targetman by many. Will this pair work or will it rethinking?

As far as I think Klose is also pretty good with assists. You could see it with Bremen and with the WC aswell. He has an eye for the people in a better position than he is. Toni is one of the "Ruud" kind of players, he hangs around the goal and just waits for his chance.
I do think they can work together really well. But if Poldi is fit and in a scoring mood, we know he works well with Klose aswell. I just hope he gets his chance aswell.
I think it is a leathal combination up the front for Bayern. I just hope Toni does not start diving too much. He will be disliked veeery soon if he does.

right. toni is really more of a poacher. and yes klose isn't an in-the-hole striker, but i've definitely seen him set up some goals. i don't even need to tell you guys about klose and poldi. Poldi sux, really :/ I maybe a Bayern fan but still O_O Poldi is worse than Ismael in 2005-06, dont know why he has so many fans from two goals for the German NT...Toni-Klose is really a great attacking pare for Bayern, because last season it was all Brazzo & Sagnol kicking the ball towards the box and Maka just couldn't do anything about it, he just wasnt that kind of player.

Firstly welcome to Soccerpulse. And secondly, surely Poldi can't be worse than Ismael 05-06. I mean sure he hasn't set the world on flames with his performances. But after he goes a few months inury-free, builds some confidence and starts starting scoring we will see the Podolski that plays for Germany (aka Goal Machine). He will adapt to Bayern sooner or later, he'll have to

This partnership can work well,Klose is very mobile. He fights for every ball and has plenty of assists in the last 3 years.
If not switching to 4-2-3-1 is a good possibility.I liked the way the team played in the
league cup.
Toni and Klose are the options for the lone striker and Schweinsteiger,Ribery,Podolski,
Sosa,Altintop and Schlaudraff for the 3 spots in offensive midfield

agree here. tough i would not call him goal machine, he will adapt with bayern. i think one of the main reasons was magath for sure. he just never gave him the chance. if he would have had more team playing time, he could have been up front with klose alone. and no need for toni. also agree on the diving part. italians are not the germans most fave players atm,

I am really waiting to see this partnership in action. I believe it can be a huge success. Both the players are big and strong and hard to defend in the penaltybox. With the wingers like Schweinsteiger, Ribery... and also great wingbacks, there will be a lot of crossing in the box and these guys really can dominate in the air. I can´t wait for the season to start...

hi how are u? i'm new here and i think that somebody of you wrote last day in soccergaming.com and you told about this forum. since some weeks i can't enter in soccergaming so i will be here and in bigsoccer too. away i'm xevi but i couldn't enter in this forum with my name so i'll be saba as the defender in bayern II. he's 29 but well... ah and i'm from catalunya (spain).
about klose and toni i think that they will have success. I couldn't believe when the rumours said bayern would sign both. we saw 3 or 4 matches against amater teams and they had connection. in any case i hope podolski plays soon and he scores because toni is 30, klose 29 and podolski 22 so i hope podolski be starter. should be our future. he should adapt soon.

PazzaInter:
I fail to see how a Toni-Klose partnership can turn into failure.

ForzaItalia2006:
Actually Toni had about 4 assists in league games last season (compared to Klose's 8) but he creates a lot of chances. Toni is not a diver, Toni gets tackled pretty hard a lot. He's a big guy and people go after him A LOT.
He does tend to "dramatize" a bit, but for god's sake everyone is after his knees!!! I am completely against diving, but I am also against hard tackles that the ref lets go. At some point a player has to protect themselves.
-------------------
PazzaInter:
Diver? Toni is not known to dive, i'm not saying he never has but i cant ever recall Toni diving.
----------------
RockinRaul:
if klose creats some assist for toni and toni does some back, i would be happy. tbh, if toni does not have one single assist but lots of goals on his list at the end, i am okay... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The alleged diver was Grosso, not Toni. And for crying out loud, it wasn't a dive!!! Read FIFA law 12...."trips or attempts to trip" and also go on youtube..there are good videos that slow it down from the perfect angle that show why it was indeed a PK.
Toni is a guaranteed 15 goals unless he's having a horrible season...Klose about the same...you guys can't go wrong here.
-------------------
klose and toni in the german league? how could it fail? both are world class strikers who should compliment each other in the assistment department. the only way the partnership can fail in my view is if one has a terrible injury which is highly unlikely. i'm predicting 40-50 goals between them this season.
----------------
and now we can go on and hail the great partnership between klose and toni... when i raed some of the things i said... oh boy... well, i´d say they are a massive striking force, the best in germany and i can´t wait to see more!
