I've heard of it, it is highly rated but I just don't like the look of the material.

The leather looks really soft on those.

I've seen them around lots in Japan (obviously), the leathers real soft, a nice quality boot i reckon. Don't know about the name though. It follows Japan's time honoured tradition to call things they've made ridiculous names

Ghost Striker is the best boot I've had hands down. I own Umbro Speciali, Preds, Pumas and the Profi--all great boots, but Mizunos are simply sick. They weight 210 grams which is about 1/3 lighter than Adidas and they feel like slippers when you wear them. The leather is super soft and provides incredible touch on the ball. The upper is kangaroo, but the tongue and the heel are synthetic. The sole is the old Rivaldo sole which was a fantastic boot I hear, but way more expensive than the Ghost. They also look way better in person than in the pictures. Absolutely amazing cleat.

Most online retailers provide the weight of the cleats they sell and I've seen at least 3 in the UK that carry the Ghost Striker (also ebay). Besides, it was just to give you an idea how light the shoe is compared to other brands. My Pulses feel like I'm wearing bricks on my feet compared. And I loved my Pulses! Of course, you give up at least some protection, but the stitching actually reinforces the upper without affecting the touch. One thing to remember though is to get them a full American size smaller than the Pulse for a perfect fit.

I wasn't doubting you, i was curious myself because i've tried a few Mizunos and they usually feel pretty clunky. Asics however makes some very light and comfortable boots.

It's a good boot, fairly light, that's because the k-leather is mixed with some synthetic. It looks a bit too futuristic for me but it has some new technology, like an improved heel counter and plate, which means comfort. If you can get it for a decent price, go for it.
