Now that Porto have qualified in first position of their Champions League group. What are your expectations/predictions on how far they will go?

I honestly think if we can get a good draw, meaning not Lyon or Arsenal, in the R. of 16, then I say Quarters are very realistic, and even then if we push there we could make the Semi's.

But keeping the same lineup and attacking, yes we can go far imo. But this is JF, so I can only see maybe the quarters and than JF to chicken out after that sadly... But I would be more than happy to be proven wrong.

I would hope that we play Schalke or Celtic I think we could win those matchups. My hope is they make a great run to the Semi-Finals or so.

I voted quarterfinals, it seems realistic that Porto will get a good draw for the first round and then probably fall to a stronger side in the next round.

Porto got schalke in the knockout stages. I don't know much about them. What are some of there key players and playing style?

Good draw. a Win can be done at home. but JF has to prevent the defending in the away match, which against Schalke, would be stupid to defend imo because I believe if we go out attacking we can get a very good result.

Schalke is a solid team. Defence is decent and though they have some class players there not a team that scores a lot of goals. The only team they scored against this CL was against Rosenborg....

anyways, i think porto can beat schalke. the team needs to stay focused because even as a sportinguista i'm hoping porto makes it very far in the cl. i think porto can go through this round but the team needs to be wary of schalke (despite them not playing their best lately).

Schalke's striker Kuranyi is worried about Alves, Lucho, and Lisandro. There all very important to the team but honestly how can you leave out Quaresma. It's almost as bad as Marseille's coach not knowing our players positions.

Never say never, this is football where everything can happen. Although it's highly likely Porto won't make the semi-finals with the current clubs still involved, it's still possible. Anyways, I reckon they will get past Schalke this round with some fairly easy games but the next round will be way harder.

Kuranyi, Im not scared of the guy, Alves will take care of him imo.

I see Pre-Quarters for Porto and pip Schalke to go through here. Schalke are incredibly defensive and would mark Porto Players like hell and Kuranyi and Asamoah aren't exactly jokes either.
Gelsenkirchen was where Porto won the UCL in 2004 but I don't see them winning against Schalke today.

there defensive but I also think there weak on attack. Whenever I watch them, they play really slow and don't create to many good chances. Porto are solid in both departments imo.
They are saying that we will see Quaresma, Lisandro and Farias up front with Joao Paulo as RB.

Lisandro and Farias will surely give Schalke a hard time with crosses.

I also like how Joao Paulo is being played as RB.

We've managed to keep key strikers quit before, I don't see why we can't do that again.

When were you watching them? Schalke has great passing ability, they just lack a good finisher besides Kuranyi (who also wastes too many chances on his day) and are always concerned about a solid defense.
It will be tough for Porto to go through but given their impressive home strenght they could do so nonetheless.

I think Porto will control the game A LOT more at home.

I see them reaching the Quarters now, after the draw they should get past Schalke and proceed. Then they will lose just barely form a stronger team in the Quarters I think.
