Maybe he just gets travel sickness on the way to games so he wears those bands with the plastic in and tapes over them. That would explain the bulge and would also explain why he wears them every game.

I understand Kaka or Messi, but not C.Ronaldo. I think he's a really good player but too many people like him now-a-days, he's getting a bit overrated. So I assume that if C.Ronaldo wore Pink and white Vapor IIIs, you would actually think it's truly cool? And I don't think you're actually as fast as him or can do the step-overs as fast as he can... I doubt it is to tighten his boots he already wears boots 2 1/2 sizes smaller, the inside sock is probably cut at the ankle to prevent th shinguard from being directly on his foot so when he sweats it doesnt feel slimy or whatever.

Actually, he wears those white socks over his shinnies, because it holds them in better. I was looking at p[ictures of what he does with his socks on getty, and I saw the top bit of the white sock through the stretched black sock. And the white sock was overlapping the shinguard. Thats what I think at least.
