idk whats up with yours, maybe your foots just not right for it i love mine very comfy and the only problem is that i got 2 cut/blisters on my heels but thats not a problem anymore, i sugest that if there not good with in 2 weeks take em back and get somting else
robocop
^ I got that too and still waiting for it to heal properly.

If you want them to heal while wearing your vapors, look for 2nd skin if they have it where you live. I'm using it right now and its working wonders

I have always worn vapors and at first my IV worked really good and I had no blister problems. but recently i got a blister about the size of a quarter on the side of my heel, i think its those two little pads at the heel of the boot
robocop
^ Yup thats the problem.
Nanny
i have had the exact same thing, those and my right heel got destroyed so i just tape it heavily now, but i also got hell cramping like pains in my left foot, more like stabbing pains and they have only just recently gone away, hope i havent wrecked my foot!

I'm an adidas 10 and a half(US). My nike shift plus's are a 10 and a half(US) as well and both these boots fit great. I want to buy a pair of vapor III although no one carries them in store anymore so I can't try them on. Are you saying I may be another size in the vaps?
robocop
^ The length on vapors is really wierd, your best off trying them on some how
TATE It To The Next Level!
If your gettin vapor III's i woud say get a size 10 1/2. Im pretty sure vapor III's are around the same size as adidas.

Buy nike Dri-fit runners socks they work miracles. Wear both the runners socks and your regular socks you will NEVER get the blisters again. and doubling with the runners socks wont make you foot that much more bulky.
Defiantly invest in the socks

Well, what I do to prevent blisters is, I went out and bought an above the ankle length sock that's very very thick and comfortable, and i cut the foot off my kit sock and i wear the thick sock and then the cut kit sock and tape them together with white tape. works best with white socks, and i haven't gotten blisters since. plus, it looks kickass.

and if you don't like the look of the white sock coming above your ankle, just buy shorter socks, or tape them on your ankles, and don't cut so much of your kit sock off.

**********also, when you cut your kit sock, make sure that you take a match and solder/burn the edges of the thread so that they don't fuck up in the wash.

What the hell, if you read the topic a few posts back, you would realise it is very much on topic, my friend.

I have also had a problem braking in my NMV4, they give me such pain in my heel and I had really bad blisters, I tried the tennis ball and also gatorade bottle to stretch the heel but it seems to do no good, any suggentions, someone mentioned warm water trick does that work?? also how do you remove the laces from the vapor IV to clean them.

i've always wanted to buy a pair of vapors, but everyone is saying that they give you terrible blisters. it seems like the main cause would be the pink heel cups in the side of the heels, if this is true, couldnt you just cut that part out with an exacto blade or knife?? if anyone tries this let me know how it works because blisters are the only thing stopping me from purchasing a pair. thanks

You shouldnt just go on what every else has said. The little pink cushion pads have never caused me discomfort or any pain.
Yeah, vapors take a little bit of time to get used to, maybe 3 days - 5 days to get properly used to them (Thats how long it was for me)
I never had any blisters. Make sure you get half a size smaller! And wear an extra pair of socks. Prefferlby white dri-fit socks.

Get some vapor iv's in white/blue or black/blue you will love them!
Good luck in getting your vapors!

Why the specification? And what's special about dri-fit socks anyway? Mine arent that special, but people say they love them.

There's nothing amazing special about dri-fit socks. They just feel more comfortable
wearing them when you wear vapors.

I wear normal ankle socks with my vapors and they feel fine, so I'm not really understanding what all the fuss about the Dri-Fit socks is about.

I have NMV 4 I was wondering has anyone been able to remove the laces, also what should be the space in the front of your toes, mine are very tight will they stretch

You can remove the laces.......But thats if you want to remove the lacecover!
I know its annoying, but thats the only way I think.
My vapors have about 1cm of space. Your vapors shouldnt stretch as vapors are synthetic boots.

Ok great thanks, I guess I need to sell my vapors since they are very tight in the front since I have literally no space.
james.
You should all just get the sl's. I had the vapor 3's and they gave me blisters for a bit but the 4's sound much more severe. The sl's soleplate and heel cup has given me no problems whatsoever and they feel great.

that would be a good idea but some people might not be able to afford it lol. since it is considerably more expensive compared to the standard IV's.

All this reading about people getting blisters and cuts with their vapors scares me. lucky i dont get any damage done when using lasers (they are so damn comfy).
robocop
blzn, it was the SL's that killed my feet lol, now my IV's are like heaven aha

I love my MV, I have the E8, are beautiful, but gave me pain at the beginning, but with a kind of tape on the heels of protection before using them and have not had any problems on the heels ... But I think that any pair of boots hurts the first few times it is used, this is my opinion ..

yup because they're not even properly moulded for your foot, my lasers drilled my feet but i found out the insole was doing 100% of the damage. i changed insoles and they are probably the best boots i've used for a while haha.

Same. I didn't really like my Lasers due to the "Grippy" insole. I later switched out into Superfeet insoles, and those things changed my whole perspective on Lasers. Plus, the Laser was also Kangaroo as well. smile.gif

I guess vapors vary from person to person as ive always had vapors as my main match boots and never had blisters. My white/blue vapor IV's got worn twice and had no problems what so ever. unfortunatly i ruptured my thigh so wont use them for a while sad.gif

thats exactly how i feel too dude smile.gif

hmm i guess its almost like a must for vapor owners to go thru the initial minor blisters before the boot starts lovin' u back.. applies for any kind of footwear too i guess.. also, i think its how rough the skin at the back of ur heels are tht matters, thts why we get some guys who have no issues wit blisters for the vapors too wink.gif

i own a pair of vapor IV and they gave some minor blisters in the heels too.. BUT.. its gone now and it's working like a dream!

I've had the IV's in size 9US for about 3 weeks the first few times i wore them in practice i had some arch and blister problems..so before the next few practices i got a real simple arch/blister tape job and they went away realitivly soon and by the time they went away the boots were broken in a lil and didnt give me any problems. The only thing i didnt like about the size 9's was the tiny space between my toe and the end of the boot......so when my preds ripped the other day i took them back and got the new blue/volt IV's in size 8.5 and they actually wernt too much tighter...but i like my boots really tight..
