I have a pair of Adidas predator absolute cleats, and i am wondering if it is possible to turn them into indoor shoes, would save me a lot of money and time breaking in my new indoor shoes. Has anyone ever heard of or seen cleats converted into indoor shoes?
Thanks.

good luck with that. the amount of time spent converting the boots into shoes will be nothing compared to breaking in actual indoor shoes i think.

never happened.
you could cut off all of the sole plate and stick a new sole plate on it. but not worth the time/effort.

I'm convinced that I could take the Air Zoom Control turfs with the small studs and sand them down to nothing.
It would probably be a waste of time and effort, better to just find some indoors if you want them.
They are easy to break in anyway.

I was never going to sit in my basement and do it all myself.
I'm planning on buying a sole and asking a shoe tailor to do it.

Wouldnt you want to still be able to wear your Predators on the actual field?

I don't understand what's so weird about that, In Sweden, orebro where I live, many people do that. Just find a shoemaker and ask him if he can can cut the outsole off and put on a indoor insole, a guy who i know did that with his red and white MV 2s, and they looked superb!

But with Absolutes I'd imagine it would be slightly more difficult than doing this to any other boot, what with the Powerpulse.

I'm interested to see how this turns out but the leather is cemented to the sole according to Soccer.com, so wouldn't this ruin the leather?

not if he just cements the indoor sole to the very bottom of the original soleplate

i use turf shoes on indoor and they are fine, but if you dont like that then get turf shoes, walk on concrete for a few months and they'll be flat lol.
would be interested in seeing someone convert studded boots to have an indoor outsole. would look cool imo with high end boots.
