Full Version: So My Mate Just Got A Cr7 Signed Boot, How Much $?

My mate's brother got him a present for turning 18 last week.
Black wooden box, with an engraving of CR7 on the front, with the words:
' Cristiano Ronaldo signed Boot' 2.12.08
Inside, the bottom of the box is a small square of artificial turf (for affect? haha)
Inside, a photo of Cristiano Ronaldo, and a statement of authenticity from the head of Nike Football,
i forget his name.

The authenticity statement says the boot is not only a vapor IV (orange),
but is THE BOOT (right foot) that CR7 scored his first Manchester United hat trick with last season against Newcastle.
I inspected inside the boot, and on the left side of the right boot a small sewn patch even says:
Sample boot, not for resale.

I'll post some pictures up when I get the chance to take some, he lives on the other side of town.

anyways, wondering, how much do you think this boot is worth?

LOL,can't you just post the pictures, ask his mother how much did they cost and give all the info biggrin.gif

I'm no expert but in comparing it to this auction I'd say the boot would be worth about £2000+. I'd say it'd be worth that because of the presentation and the fact that its signed aswell as match worn. It'd be worth more if there was both boots. The only reason why I'd say the boots would be less than the Ronaldinho boots auction is because that seller always seems to have things for sale - I'd guess this is because his valuations are too high.

Why would he want to sell it if it was a present from his brother?

Same. I would definetely keep them especially cause they are a gift from his brother..
Mahnyounited
oh, excuse me for not clarifying, in noooo way what soever is he looking to sell it. he just told me 'go on that cool forum you post on and see how much its worth' figure it was worth an ask.

ill put pictures up when i get the chance to capture a few. his brother didnt tell us how much he got it for in an auction, due to it being a gift.

Give his bro a few beers and get it out of him Ha! biggrin.gif
xinzhitan14
if its worth an arm and leg it might be worth selling smile.gif.

signed boots with real authenticity can go for over 1k sometimes. most people would assume it is fake since there is so much signed stuff on ebay which could or could not be real.
vaporboy14
I agree with adam in thinking this would be worth £2000+, his first united hattrick, first time he wore vapor IV in a match, the right boot!! lol
Almost priceless seeing as hes the best player of our generation
AshTJ
Depends where he got it. Ebay? Then anything from £50 to £100. Real deal? Id say £1000+
Mahnyounited
its a real deal. he works at a french american private school that was putting on an auction of specific soccer related collectors item.
it was the main one, and someone he pulled some strings to get it.

trust me, in no way is it fake.

What is a Contour Rebel football boot? You had that in your signature.

And personally, I dislike CRonaldo, but that is an absolutely sexy gift. Bastard.

And this is totally horribly offtopic , but just for germanbeckham to get his answer , then contour rebel aren't boots , they're just Sells goalkeeper gloves . smile.gif
