I am starting on my boot shopping since it will be spring season this month here in the US.. Im researching real hard.. I just ordered the Vapors but I also want an additional pair Predator Pulses, Nike Air Legend's or AZT III's im leaning more towards the predator pulses

but the real question is I see there is huge price gap between predator pulsions, pulses and only difference i see is the leather? does different type of leather really effect the strike of the ball? any info or inputs would be great thanks

i doubt it matters that much. but i was on the verge of buying pulsions until i saw them in real life- the rubber vamps are useless, they aren't raised like the pulse .

I doubt it will help your shots or whatever technical abilities you have.

For Adidas, their K leather and calf leather do have some differences.

K leather stretch and mould to your feet better. I can safely say that for Adidas boots, their calf leather isn't that great and cracks easily (I have experienced this recently). K leather is also more comfortable too.

I suspect different brands treat their K leather differently during manufacturing, leading to different characteristics.

For the Legends, there seems to be a divided opinion on the K leather. Half of the people think it's great, half think it's crap. Personally I found the leather terrible on the sides, because they are too hard and thin and put a bit of pressure on the top of my feet.

But then, having said the above, I don't think boots are worth the price, no matter if it's K leather or calf leather!

Also, don't forget the leather won't be the only difference between the Pulses and Pulsions. The soles are different and the Pulses are probably better made.

ya im deffinitly leaning towards the pulses.. but only thing i do not like is they need more color selections.. unlike nike has flashy gold, silver and blue colors.. hmm u think anytime soon theyl drop the prices on the pulses?

My legends are S-I-C-K-N-A-S-T-Y.the leather on the sides may be a little thin but the top part is so supple and there is a sock liner and my foor fits perfectly. and My Legend ball, Its so nice I named her Magia. the only wierd thing is that it attracts hair to it.

The red ones, the Beckham silver ones and the indigo/silver ones are going cheap. You might also find the older version of the black ones going cheap.

The Beckham Silver/Red ones are going quite cheap on ebay, check them out.

there is a big difrence between the two pulses have k leather , weight added in the front , dual compoud external heel counter, moulder outsole , and the vamp is difrent,

imo because i have only owned pulses and vapors i whould go for the pulses

i use my pulses when its ugly outside and when its nice i use my gold vapors because they look nicer in the sun..

Has the pulsion got calf leather right? Thats what I got, the blue ones. The ones raul, zidane wore in euro 2004. They are great, I picked them up for £52 when they came out. Still wearing them, great for all weather conditions, except maybe snow. Got the SG ones, so not good on snow.
