The server is getting upgraded as we speak.

Yes you can continue to expect large outages for the next few days until a new server is in place. I've been doing all I can to keep the server running but am having a lot of trouble with it.

Heh after the last 24 hours I don't think either of us can be in much of a humorous mood. Dazed and confused sounds more appropriate. It's all good though, I don't care if the site is down for periods of time, as long as no data is lost. That is my #1 priority having learned from mistakes in the past.

Of course, many may choose not to make a donation to SP which is totally cool. But one other thing you can to do help the site is CLICK ON THE ADVERTISEMENTS. That helps bring SP more advertising money and only takes a quick second.

I agree i try to make click in Advertisiment when i get to any forum or at the start of SP.

I would really like to send money cause I want to keep this site up but I dont have any money and My mom "doesn't Approve of it." sorry but I;ll click advertisments. if u press it more than once does it give more money?

I know its rubbing it in a bit, but this is maybe the worst time for the site that this could of happned.

The site would of got tonnes of traffic after these Champions league games and its maybe an opportunity missed in the rise in popularity of the site.

But i guess these things happen.

Don't feel bad if you can't send money. This site has always managed to take care of itself, even through a few rough periods.

Gaucho, I wouldn't be surprised if that actually caused problems for the site. We are operating near capacity for this server at peak times, and we might actually be stressing this machine a bit too much. That is why we are upgrading, because we don't want to have to limit people or have the site going down as much as it is now.

SoccerPulse is important to some people, a good source of information or just plain fun for others. We know that, and we strive to keep the site operating as optimally as possible. Problems like this hurt and frustrate us just as much, if not more, especially when you hit the point that you just don't know what to do or how to make it work anymore.

and just so no one feels bad. I ignored EVERYONE that told me or asked me about soccerpulse or the server... equally.

if 1000 different people do.. yes.

if 1 person does 1000 times, yes, but not as much. in fact 1000 people doing it is far better then 1 person 1000 times.
