Yes, I know we have had a lot of downtime lately, but for once, this one is a good thing.

During teh next day and a half or so, Soccerpulse.com will be down, So we can port the database over to the new server. We hope that no posts will be lost, but there is a chance a small number may be. This move will be the final step in moving to th enew server, and when completed, SP will be at its new home. a faster, better, more reliable server.

depending on when it happens, teh downtime could be 10 minutes, or a few hours. It all depends on when the DNS entry is updated. We hope to right on top of things when it does happen, s the dontime is minimal.

I hope you enjoy it.

Cheers
Chris

This is true, I cannot help but feel people will think this, But this is a positive move. The reason for this move is teh other bouts with downtime we have had. The server is a wreck, and moving to a new one will rectify all thse issues.

This new server, is bigger better and faster. I dont see how ten minutes of downtime will be a problem for the amount we get in return.

THERE WILL BE ONLY A FEW MINUTES OF DOWNTIME..

IT WILL OCCUR IN THE NEXT DAY OR SO...

THERE WILL NOT BE A LOSS OF DATA.. (meaning no posts will be lost)
