Updated.

Shocking that Ghana are only ranked 10th in Africa. And why in God's green earth is Angola ranked lower than Togo...they were outstanding in the Nations Cup qualifiers...certainly better than Togo.

^^ i think its ghana's losses to the likes of Saudi Arabia (no offense saudi's) 5-0 have dented their ranking. However Ivory Coast have a low world ranking i guess coz they haven't won many games lately in friendlies outside africa.
The Pharaoh
Guinea 3rd and Sudan 27th! That's interesting.

these rankings change so fast i remember 5 years ago togo nd angola were nowhere to be seen and ghana had no sponsor. african football is making up ground and the old establishment of nigeria, south africa, tunisia, cameroon, and senegal has been totally knocked off in the past few years thumbsup.gif

Very very weird Egypt aren't even one of the top three. But best ever ranking for Ghana.

They can lick my arse about 45th. What a pisstake. Behind f*cking Senegal who didn't qualify for the f*cking competition, Japan, Northern Ireland, Norway, Paraguay and f*cking Belgium.

EDIT:- And just just 4 above f*cking Moldova?! WTF?! Are they seriously taking the piss? Seriously?

Great doh.gif

Bloody Somalis. We can never get a result mad.gif
pico32
wtf what more Egypt can do to have better rankings
The Pharaoh
Well this is a joke. Ghana gets 330 points, Cameroon get 114, Cote d'Ivoire gets 189 and Egypt gets 92. Interesting. Perhaps only the first round of the Nations Cup is taken into account as the ranking is for January only, but still if I memory is correct then we beat Cameroon 4-2 in the first match, and didn't lose any game - yet they get more than us. Let's wait and see what happens in the February rankings, because so far the FIFA rankings are nothing but a joke.
Yoda.
How can America be that high? They know fuck all about football, never mind playing it.
Bub.
USA is at 26 laugh.gif

this site is brilliant...i dont know how egypt are not in the top 20 right now...

The Pharaoh
FIFA have confirmed that all the matches in the African Cup of Nations have been taken into account, including the ones in February. In this case, they can kiss my ass. From now on the FIFA rankings rankings do not mean anything, they're complete bullshit. Fucking assholes.

We won CONCACAF's major tournament last summer. That's the main reason.
Btw, your petty country bashing isn't appreciated either.
Just for one week I'd like to hear no America-bashing.Guess I'm wishing the impossible.
Besides, FIFA rankings are bullshit and everybody knows it.If people haven't figured that one out by now they haven't been very observant.

Well Egypt just won CAF's major tournament last week, which in my opinion is a lot, a lot stronger than that of CONCACAF.

I totally agree, that's why I think there is no point of arguing anymore about this topic.
maNtisT_777
FIFA's ways of deciding the rankings is abseloutely retarded. EGypt who have just won the
ACN for the 2nd time in a row without losing a game are placed at 29, while Cameroon who lost to them 2 times during the tournament are ranked at 17. Also Ghana who came 3rd in the tournament is placed at 14 and Ivory Coast who lost to Egypt as well in the semi final are placed at 24. In between even Israel is in a better ranking then Egypt. How is this possible... I cant be bothered with the rankings anymore. It's really retarded.

Dude, Paraguay leads the South American qualification for 2010 world cup, and pretty convincingly.

Really? Ah ok, apologies. But still, behind Senegal (who fly up the rankings), who didn't even qualify for the AFCON.
