My adidas rep's boss just went over to Germany to view the new 2006 WC line of boots and apparel. The rep said that adidas has a new boot coming out that will come with three seperate bottoms that can be inserted and clip in (FG, SG, and HG). They will retail at 210 (u.s. $) I am not sure if these will be the new preds. Doubt it though. Has anyone heard the same or does anyone happen to have and concept pics? Sorry I don't know more, thought it was interesting though.

Its usual for adidas to bring out new Predators for the World Cup, has happened now in '98 and '02, releases like the F50 are usually the alternate year from major international competitions to keep the sales up, as are new colours, as we see with the new Blue Predators released in June, no doubt they will be worn until December or so, and then the new Predators will be released to Beckham and Zidane and such players

from history, adidas release a new predator model every two years, like a football kit, and so do nike with their t90's.
This means the new t90's and Preds will be released in May 2006, with players wearing them in March.

If they get it working well (ie. the sole plates stay in place and are solid) I think it's a fantastic plan.

That right they will all have new boots for thr world cup. If you look in the yet to be relseased boots pinned threads you can see info and pics of all the vapor and total 90's right up to the time of the new world cup ones.

I would seriously doubt that adidas would make something like this as it would mean that people would end up buying less boots. Think about it now we all usually get a FG pair for the hard ground in the summer and a SG pair for the soft ground in the winter. If we would only have to get one boot we would spend a lot less money on their boots and they would get a lot less profits.... so for financial reasons i can't see it happening.

Yeah but it does mean if you wear that one boot the whole time, it will get worn out faster so it'll need replacing quicker than if you had two pairs you alternate between. It won't be twice as fast but it will certainly be quicker.

I don't replace boots because of the studs.

they sound like a new baseball cleat that adidas brought out this year
that could also change from turf to metal to molded.
