I somehow feel that PSV will sneak through to the final for the following reasons: PSV are awfully undestimated even by the mighty Milan, god bless them, and PSV can match up Milans midfield perfectly, maybe going to the penalties like against Lyon.

Psv of course, Milan are no match

You jk

But i still think Psv are goin through cause of their strong defence, gomes and V.bommel and Cocu, Milan just think their a little too easy.

If PSV loses with 2 or 3-0 in Milan, they are out. With 1-0 it is still possible, but the attackers from PSV are the weakest point in the team. Vennegoor is totally useless againt Stam or Maldini, Beasley is way too light.

Milan will beat the hell out of PSV. Though i'm a Juve fan,i'm supporting Milan all the way in the champions league now cos they're the only italian team left. I'd rather see them or Liverpool win it than PSV or Chelsea. Back to this tie, Milan are facing more pressure than Eindhoven. In Serie A they have to fend off Juve and now Champions League semis. PSV are virtually ere divisie champions so they can focus more in UEFA CL. Man to man, Milan have better players. Team to team, Milan are no doubt the better team. Every department they are stronger than PSV. Look at Rossoneri's team play against Man United...simply great. PSV may be able to defend against Milan at home but if they can't score up front, it would be pointless.

Final score:
AS MILAN 2-0 Psv
Gomes was superb! He made some great saves tonight.
In the second half PSV created a lot of chances for themselves, but were unable to finish. I honestly think a 1-1 scoreline would've been a better reflection of the game.
After having watched tonight's game, I really believe Liverpool/Chelsea have not much to fear when it comes to playing Milan in the final. If Milan gets there, that is.

i'm fairly confident milan have got enough to make it now with a 2 goal cushion and although psv gave them a run for thier money and made milan look shaky at the back when bombing forward, they still managed to hold out for a clean sheet, which makes it their 7th consecutive clean sheet in the champions league at home or something (heard the commentator say it) and i think liverpool/chelsea will have a good match in the final... and i strongly believe the winner of the all-english semi will go onto win the competition.

I second that!
It's an almost certainty that Milan's going to the final now. I'm just not so sure they will be victorious when they're there.
As I said before PSV created a lot of changes for themselves, due to Milan's surprisingly-not-so-strong-looking backline, but they only have themselves to blame for not scoring. They kept shooting straight into Dida's direction, instead of going for the corners. I'm sure that Liverpool/Chelsea won't have that problem.
.Pep Guardiola.

Milan all the way!
I am happy that Milan won. They are better than PSV and have a better chance of beating Chelsea. If they go through that is(hopefully not). If Milan play Chelsea then I am confident Milan will beat them. Milan's defence is too strong for Chelsea to break, Pirlo and Gattusso will own the Chelsea midfield, and Milan's forwards' finishing will be too good for Cech. IMO.

There`s a little theory that says; If a team wastes chances like that, then they`ll get scored upon.
Anyway, about PSV..It doesn`t matter if they did everything right or not, if they can`t do the main thing, which is finish..then they`re done.
Nothing against PSV, they played good, especially in the second half, when Milan`s defence was totally out of it. Hopefully that`ll be fixed with Nesta`s return for next match.
Forza Milan!

I do agree with u Natasa. I'm just saying that the way the game was going a 1-1 would have been a fair result but like wat u said it is their fault that they were unable to capatalize on their chances.

Only caught the 2nd half and I thought PSV were going to get a goal in there, making it a 1-1 draw. But, as already stated, their finishing wasn’t there. They had their chances in Milan’s half, but kept shooting them right at Dida. I also thought PSV were showing good effort. But Milan did what PSV were short of doing. I thought PSV were getting just a tad scrappy near the end, and Milan capitalized on it. Shevchenko’s goal was inevitable and Tomasson’s late goal is a good cushion for Milan going into the second leg.

I can't believe PSV didn't get at least a point from this match...
2-0 seemed like a fair result to me before the match started, a score I was expecting. But when I saw the second half, PSV totally dominated AC MILAN

. I couldn't believe it, and even though they lost I am very proud of little PSV. Milan's players are much, much better but AC Milan have the money to buy them and PSV doesn't so to do so well amongst all the rich clubs in Europe is fantastic. PSV

PSV
Cocu said after the match:
"We are all really dissapionted but we are gonna make it an amazing game in Eindhoven because our fans deserve that, and we'll see where it leads us" I am really proud of PSV, they are representing Dutch football in a good way!!!

Well, we have our selves a game now! PSV scores early. That puts Milan up against it a little. PSV still has an uphill battle, but another goal sees them through to pk's.
I rated PSV as a severe underdog, but I knew if they could manage an early goal, we'd have a match on our hands. AND HERE WE ARE! Come on Eindhoven!

PSV are the most unluckiest team right now. They put on a great performance on both legs yet their the ones out.
PSV allowed Milan to attack after they scored the 2nd goal. I knew something bad was gonna happen because most of the time when Milan made a cross, the marking by the PSV defence was horrible and thats what cost them in extra time.
Liverpool and Milan outplayed in the semi's, yet their the ones going to the final, imo undeserved.
rado907
May 4 2005, 03:47 PM
Dunno, I like PSV and I agree they missed a lot of chances, but I wouldn't call them unlucky. Lyon was at least as deserving as them to reach the semis, and yet it was PSV that got through.

wow away goal rule really is awful. Some idiot must have though of that rule..a goals a goal no matter where it is scored. I think psv should complain about that rule. its a joke...even milan fans should admit that psv was the better team and deserved to go on to the final.
