Everyone post pics of your customised boots like if you blacked them out or stuff like that

Will post my 90's asap. The only pics I have of before they got wrecked are on my camera phone so I dont know how good/bad quality they will be but will give it a shot.

I think she means if you've coloured or painted them by yourself, and if you have had them professionly personalised like with your name and number on!

Not very custom.... Got them today and I changed the Laces from Orange to Black....

ANY changes that u make to ur boots that makes them different than when they came in the box means custom. in this thread were looking for ANY excuse to call them custom. sometimes just changing the laces can do a lot to a shoes appearance.
PS. unless u know how i wouldn't reccomed trying to relace the azt 90 2 or 3. its pretty tricky. even for ME.

Ok so here it is. Sorry it took so long. The blog site was being painful and will only let me post 1 pic. I'm not a very good photographer and they were taken with a camera phone and enhanced so the quality may be questionable. Will post more pics later.

Its not a very good job cause i used the wrong paint and rushed it, but you get the idea of how cool they would look if you did it properly.
As you can see the paint was already cracking off, just from trying to put the laces in, which are Romeo371M inferred is an absolute bitch and took me many tries. Nike really should fix this somehow.
When trying to do this make sure you have the right paint and take you time else they will turn out crap. Mine were just kinda an experiment. I would do a better job next time

here's a link to my customized preds. these r my 3rd pair of pulses in under a yr, 2nd of this color so i decided to spice them up a bit. i used a blue sharpie first off, but shuld have done it b4 i applied my mink oil to the boots. after the blue, i went with the black to darken it up.

i like the whited azt2's, just cuz i've neva seen ne thing like them. too bad the paints chippin' off.

SEE EVERYONE listen to Crofty and me. if u do ANYting to ur total 90 laces, make sure u have a lot of time an a model to use as a reference. those DAMN LACES. hah anyways Toedoes Revenge great pulses. haha i ove the classic "i did this with marker" look. who knows, maybe marker ends up being a better coloring utnsil then paint?

i blacked out my vapours. As so of you may know. But the paint didnt stick to the tick, so i took off the tick paint. Now its a black boot with a white tick and white laces cause my proper vapour laces broke. And even though i blacked em out properly with the felixible spray it didnt chip! but parts that get lots of contact (toe, first studs) the paint rubber off revealing the red again. I also 'copa mundialed' the toungue (missing the first few holes and folding the toungue down. And it looks meen! So wen my season in New Zealand ends, cause my vapours gave me so much pain and suffereing (F_CKEN SYNTHETICS!) im gonna mod em up, mab even drowning em in meths to take off all the black and red, to make em full white, and doing the toungue thing on em, cutting the toungue so it fits as well.

Thanks guys! Yeah I have had them for over a year and was just using them as back ups to my new wht/gold azt 90 iii's. They were kinda boring and i never much liked the colour anyway, but were too good to throw out. Luckily, thanks to b3ans and his blacked out vapors, i discovered CUSTOMISATION! But as i said in the other thread the shit paint cracked off, so they don't look like that anymore. Do you think stripping them totally back with metho will work? If so I might do that, then paint them pink or something ridiculous like that, or maybe white them out again and paint some artwork on them. Or what about doing them different colours on each boot? What do you think?

You need to tell us how long that will stay on for, because isn't it washable with water?

what i did was put white all over (trying to white out ) and changed my mind went to was it out and the paint stayed on the stitching don't know how long it will last didn't know it was gonna stay on

I am thinking about using my white, old boots and taking a lime green sharpy to them. I love that color. To anyone who has sharpyed there boots, have you played in them? How did they hold up and did the colors come off from water????

Me too! Easily my fave colour, but it would clash with my white and emerald kit really bad. Sorry to appear stupid but what's a sharpy?
With those vapors i think they might have gotten photoshopped, cause you cant really take the swoosh off, can you? Isn't it like, embedded into the nike skin? Just a thought.
Can't wait to see ManUtdGirl's white stitches. Those will be soo cool.

Some of you may know that i blacked out my vapors, it didnt chip off but i kinds of 'rubbed off' on the places which has contact with the ball or ground. I know theve had it, but i used my imagination and i 'copa mundified' the toungue, it actually looks quite nice me thinks...

Ha thats sooooooo cool. Welcome to the customisation hall of fame-again! Also I think its kinda cool how the black has rubbed off to reveal bits of red. Looks really grungy and bad ass. If you were coming at me i'd probably run away.

lol. Yes they look real rugged and look like mutts! When the toungue learns to stay down ill take the tape off. And ill also wear em like that, laces undone. Very gangsta and hood. Ill tie knots at the ends of them tho, they have already molded to my feet heaps so they just stay on even when undone. Preety cool!

I'm supposed to go for a trial at Creighton this summer, I think. Why do you wanna play there? I'm considering it, Div. 3 though. I'm shooting a little higher than that, but I'll take what I can get.

dude..what kind of spray paint did u use and for what kind of surface? cos i rmember someone in this forum he used Tamiya spray paint used for remote controlled cars' bodies, and are supposedly flexible and durable..maybe you shoulcve used that paint instead of whatever it is ur using right now.. and have u worn the whiteouted azt2s for games ir anything?

Yeah i know. As i said they're not my first pair of boots, so i was just stuffing about to see what would happen. We live and we learn, i guess. Yeah i played in them a couple times, thats when the paint chipped off. The touch and comfort wasn't noticeably effected but cause the paint wasn't flexible enough it chipped off. I play rugby league too so that really trashed them. We've had a lot of rain lately so i guess that didn't help. I'm currently deciding how best to strip them back so i can do it again with some different colours or some thing. I'm thinking of doing one green and one blue to match my kit, but im open to suggestions. Any ideas?

the only way it seems to me to get the paint off would be a paint thinner, or maybe even like ur moms sisters or girlfriends nail polish remover. haha. those boots use kng 100 so i don't think anything will happen to the upper. its synthetic and not porrous, so don't worry about usung anything harsh, as long as it isn't like "burn through skin" kind of corrosive. haha. try that and then paint again. use a lil better judgement on ur paint next time too and it'll be fine. whatever u do post results PLEASE! cheers m8

well ive got some pretty custom boots as theyve all got my name and number on them and im in the middle well for christmas of adidas i get my own colorways of the preds i can just!

I'm planning on stitching up some old pulsions and using marker on them to get them gold/black. I tried seeing what it look like but using Appleworks to paint them didn't help too much.

so what kind of spray paint do u sugest for vapors?
