Love it, I go to all the ACT Brubies games (Super 12/14). Theyre the best provincial team in the world with Cantebury, but ACT's style has revolutionised world rugby in various attacking ways, i'm not bothered to mention. I used to play.
BTW Forward.... ha mocked by all the other players for being uncs and louts - no class in the forwards and they run further than the backs who are fitter

Best provincial team in the south you mean? ULSTER: 1999 European Champions! Okay, well we're not the best but provincial/regional rugby is way better than English club rugby.
I played for my school on the Right Wing. I'm not really built but I can angle my runs decently. My mates were the two Locks... partly the reason our team hardly had possesion lol.
Yeah forward i play loosehead prop in the scrum
i've only seen 1 rugby game before and it was scotland and south africa..........and scotland won.
it was a great game..........even though i dont get the rules and stuff.....
good sport
I hav only seen 1 scotland game and it was scotland 27- 27 wales

Rugby is an awesome sport, my second favourite behind football. It is a big part of growing up in New Zealand. I played a bit when I was younger but then switched to football. Still enjoy playing the odd casual game with mates though.
I'm a supporter of the once mighty Auckland Blues team in the Super 12 (soon to be Super 14). To see rugby played at its exciting best people really need to watch the New Zealand All Blacks play

This opinion is based mostly on that game in the world cup between Wales and NZ, NZ won 53-37 or something, and some others but, NZ reached their peak play when Leon Mcdonald was at outside center and not Umanga. with their backs going Spencer - Mauger - Mcdonald they could throw the ball the full width of the field and thats why the wingers had such such success. This was the most exciting way they play. The best action in a game was at the start of the 2003 final when in 20 minutes the Brumbies scored 33 unanswered points! against Canterbury.
Eat shit NSW you havent won anything, and the only reason ACT didnt win this year was because of injuries, they only had 4 key players out in the fist game vs Canterbury and won, then more injuries came. 2005 will see ACT or Canterbury win.
yeah the rugby's greatest hits was good

What part of Calgary are you from? When I went to school, our guys rugby team wasn't that big.. it was mostly the same players from the football team (American football I mean) but they weren't that huge. But some of the girls were like trees compared to me, I barely played in gym classes, but same as you, I was kind of scared of getting beat, after some of the injuries I saw some of my friends get.. *shudder...
The reason i joined is because i would regret when i left school thinking i never joined the school rugby team . Also to give it a bash and the result was positive
Im going back to school soon and can't wait for rugby so i am wondering is anyone else going to give it a bash this year remember when your older you might regret it . YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE SO GRAB EVERY OPPURTUNITY WITH BOTH HANDS !

I'd have to be biased and say go for the All Black jersey mate

. There's some great history behind it. We're probably still the best rugby nation in the world unless the South Africans beat us this weekend. The Aussies have lost 5 tests in a row or something awful like that so that might not be the best option at the moment.
Peace

i am not a rugby fan at all and cant even understand the game, except the ball cant go backwards

but johnny imporved it for british fans, and helped it become a school sport again..though i wouldnt tk part!

League is waaaaaaaaaay better. It and soccer are my equal faves. I dont know which i like better. Union is too slow and boring. League was born to make a better version of union. All those hits were actually from league. Nowhere near the best hits of all time either, i think that was actually pretty old.
Also, get an all-blacks or england shirt. I hate the wallabies so i have an england one. Funnily its the only sport i like england in.
We are yet to win a match

About the rugby league thing, Union is so much harder technicly and physicaly. You fell more rewarded when you score in when you play Union.

Yeah you truely feel you have achieved something when you score a try in union
