i was looking at the adidas spring/summer magazine at the soccer store i work at and i noticed that the 7406 are coming out in white and they look great. sorry if this is old news but i thought id just make it known.

they are not a profi remake they are adidas answer to the legend. the profi is a totally different shoe than the 7406. the profie is a copa with different stiching and a different tounge.

yes, they are releasing them AS a boot to compete with the "classic" styled legends, but it's similar to nike revising the tiempo pro to make the legend.

they are not an update on the profi. they are a modern boot with a retro look which the profi was not. the profi was a higher end version of the copa when it was around but featured all the same specifics such as k-leather and the same outsole, there was no new ground breaking stuff with that boot even when it was new on the market.

this is a combo of the new tech stuff adidas is doing (split outsole) and a classic upper design made to look like a boot from the mid 70's(hence the 74 which was the last WC in Germany and 06 which will be the next one) which the profi was not, that shoe was released in thr early 80's at first then made quite a few comebacks before being scrapped totally by 2001.

this shoe has nothing to do with the profi
