Can u give me any tips how to black out them I want them complete black...

metropolis2k
Michael Carrick blacked his out before he was officially sponsored by Puma and it looks like his were either done with shoe polish or a permanent marker. It was rubbing off though. At first they were totally black but a few games later you could tell they were Pumas.

Are these on sale in shops in Germany? I can't find them anywhere to try on sad.gif

if u black em out just use a sharpie, because it will stay on long enough, but will slowly wear off, and you'll be able to take if off with some cleaner if u decide its not working. i'd do sharpie if they were mine, but i kinda like them how they are. the exec's look raw to me. i hope the new vapors incorporate the tounge strap that puma uses on the execs.

what the heck is a sharpie?

How hard it is to use google these days....

It's a marker pen!

QUOTE

In the United States, Sharpie is a line of permanent markers manufactured by the Sanford company. It is prized for its ability to write a clear, well-defined, non-smudging, durable line on glossy surfaces. While Sharpie is a brand name, its widespread use has resulted in the use of "sharpie" as a term describing any permanent marker that works on glossy surfaces.

The original Sharpie marker was first introduced in 1964 and has since expanded into a wide product line. Today, Sharpies are sold in seven varieties, according to the shape and size of their tip(s), ranging from "Ultra Fine" to "Super Bold". They also come in 34 ink colors, along with a single variety in metallic silver. Metallic gold and copper versions were introduced as well, but these have been discontinued due to problems with the ink formula. In 2004, Sanford released a new line of Sharpies that have a button-activated contracting tip rather than a cap, called the Sharpie RT. Sharpie Paint markers were also introduced. In 2005, the company's popular Accent highlighter brand was repositioned under the Sharpie brand name. A new version of Sharpie, called Sharpie Mini, was launched; the markers are half the size of a normal Sharpie and feature a clip to attach the Sharpie to a keychain or lanyard.

Sharpie's versatility has led to its use in many applications such as

Cartooning
Construction use
Graffiti
Identifying the contents of storage boxes
Image and poster design
Labeling CDs
Price marking
Writing or drawing upon one's body or the bodies of others
Signing autographs
Sharpie wars, where students attempt to mark opposing teams' shirts
marking up sound and Lighting desks

why not just buy the black-out kings or the k-leather v1.06 that are all black? So far every technique that I've heard or seen on this forum looks like something a 5-year old would do in art class. The gold pulses from the other day looked fly, don't get me wrong, but you know that's not going to hold up for more than a dozen games. My other concern is the quality of the leather after you paint it or attack it with a sharpie---will it stay soft and pliable or will it dry out and crack? I'm thinking that majoy cracking is on the agenda! Boots come in such a variety of colors that you should be able to find one that you like and that is unique enough so you stand out on a field. I played the other night and guess what, I was the only one with non-blacked-out, stripe intact copas!

Well, you say that but that's exactly what the pros do. Off the top off my head I know we've seen Van Persie with a blacked out F50+ which was done with a sharpie, and I've seen Micheal Carrick with blacked out Puma Execs which were done with either a sharpie or boot polish. I remember seeing a lot of pros in blacked out Copas which were done using shoe polish when I was younger.
utd12
I somehow don't think Van Persie did his own though and the other thing is that they aren't paying for their boots, so it doesn't matter how badly they mangle them, they'll have a new new pair in a day or two. Even if they're using sharpies it still looks crap. As for blacking em out, why do the pros do it, do you think? Its usually just to hide a newer model until its for sale or done with revisions, not so much a fashion (or lack thereof) statement.
metropolis2k
I never said anything about why they do it. Carrick did it because he hadn't officially joined Puma yet (he used to be with Adidas). Not a clue why Van Persie did it. He may not have done it himself but if he didn't his kit manager probably did and let's face it, who around here has a kit manager?

I don't see why you have such a problem with it all and why you feel the need to crap all over everybody else's ideas when it's something they want to do.
utd12
I guess I just don't understand it. I can't see paying almost $200 for a pair of high quality k-leather boots to then go and cover them in marker or shoe polish. To me, it seems like a waste of money at best, but at worst, putting on airs to look like a pro player. If you like it, good for you, personally, I don't.
smithxi
idk, my world cups that i just blacked out look stealth.
