I have recently bought the Nike Mercurial Talaria 1 from Sports and Soccer England for £45. I have not yet played in the boots and want to know two things.
1) What are the good points and the bad points (durability, ball control etc)?
2) As they are FG, are they appropriate for wet and dry grass?
They feel and look like professional boots but I just need to know more about them from people who have properly played in the boots (or have lots of knowledge!)

not the most comfortable boot in the world but they are light and have great touch, more comfortable than vapors for me, my sole split in half though after about 6 months

they tend to fall apart after fairly constant use

My sole split also and both heels have seperated but i still wear these boots because they have the best touch. There is no protection from getting stepped on since the top part of the shoe is basically heavy cloth. I also have Vapor IIs but Mercurials have way better touch.

Thanks for the help (sorry for not replying for a while). I will use these boots on average around 7 hours a week. Will this ensure they have quite a long life on the pitch considering they are hard ground and we are now heading into autumn. Please reply soon. Thanks.

i think with that use they will last u about 6 months or so to a year tops. thats if there are no freak accidents or whatever. they are good boots, there have been cases of soles snapping etc, but i STILL don't figure how that can happen. unless u use a hammer. lol. also don't worry about protection, if u get stepped on, its gunna hurt. no matter what boot ur wearing. these are good shoes, and they don't require much maintenance at all.!

Yeh, theyre essentially the same as vaps except a little bit less quality materials and construction at about half the price. This prob equals a bit less durability and whatever but still good value.

What colour did you get?
Ps I would also love to know more about splitting a sole in two. Ive has studs rip off lower range boots but never even seen a split sole. Perhaps someone could educate me?

Ive heard mixed rumors about these. but all the ppl that i know that have had them say they are fine, exept for one got major blisters. But as for me, the only reason i would buy them is if they were 10 bucks or something..

Thanks for all of your replies. by the way Crofty, I got the navy blue, white , silver colour scheme. One more question, will the FG studs make much difference in the autumn/winter (are there hazards)? Reply soon and thanks.

The bottom ones are most popular as most people wear the red and cream colour talarias. I personally would choose the silver talarias to stand out from the crowd and look the best (the top ones)

if they were the vapo r version, then it would be simple. the chrome blue ones. but since they are talarias... go for the white, red. they look a lil better than those other ones.

What? The wht/red are waaaay better than the chrome/blu. Any ways, go the flint grey. I would have them already except my foot is too wide.

Hey Romeo371, the red and cream boots are in practcially every store across the UK. Don't you think going for something rarer and more unique would be a better choice. The silver talarias sure look great and will make you stand out on the pitch.
By the way thanks for the advice on my foot problem with t90iii on my other discussion topic. I'll make sure that I go for a different pair of astros if you say they are for wide feet only.
