Hey guys, well basically I play football 6-7 nights a week, where I find alot of space on the left hand side it only leaves 1 guy to ebat before I can cut inside and get a shot off, where as I am good with the simple drop of the shoulder and generally all the simple stuff to get past someone, well where as I play quite alot people obviously catch on and its a 50/50 whether I'm tackled or not, I know there are a million videos here and I'll most likely get a simple reply of "go watch 'em" just asking for some general help here guys, anyone reccomend some skills to use while dribbling driectly toward someone, or when someone is just infront of you? Thats almost guaranteed to work! Just some explanitory will do or just a link to a really helpful vid with this stuff would be appreciated guys.
Cheers,
Danny

A good move to use if you wanna cut inside from the left side is to do a sole role with your left foot to the right, and then step-around with your right foot towards the left. This move is often called the Okocha and is very effective.

Any videos of the Okocha around Hellas?

I used to be able to do step-overs now I just can't seem to get them right lol even though its one of the most simplest of skills, just can't seem to get the right pace on the ball to do multiple step-overs unfortunately, most of the times the ball will just roll too slow.
Also something I forgot to ask, any 'skills' to use when someoen is running alongside you? Instead of just dragging it back.
Thanks btw guys, all the help is greatly appreciated, keep it comin!!

Cheers,
Danny

i think u should watch C.Ronaldo comps, he is a master in beating defenders in either of the wings. for running down the wing oint he right or left you can flick it inside like a cruyff turn but more explosive and u use it with ur instep. A good move, is where a defender is on your right, you roll the ball with your right inviting the defener n d o a reverse step over ith you left making sure the defender has no chance of getting the ball bcos ur between the ball and him( unless he fouls u) i haven't actually done this in a game still practising it, but seen one of ma teammates do it. I'ma a centre mid but like to know some dribbling moves as well.

i ain't pro at nutmegging but a good way is to run staraight at the guy shimmy to one side they'll move their legs anticapating the way your going, you just need to tap it str8 n its a nutmeg.Don't try to make it obvious though.

Any other skills that you know to completely wrong foot someone?

All I like to do really is run down the wing, cut inside and shoot or pass along the box/cross it. Any ideas?

Hey Danny ive got some ideas for you mate.
You say you play on the left and have one defender to beat which is good for you, i suggest the Jay Jay Okocha roll and stepover for a start. Simply roll the ball across your body with your right foot, step over with your left and then with your left knock th eball passed the defender and you should be away.
Also if you are right footed, thats the perfect time to use the Elastico, it takes practice but ive used it on the left and it was great!
A simple stepover could also be effective, stepover with your right and push through with your left.
Thats all i can ponder on right now, if i think of any more ill let you know dude

when you're almost at the end line (the one the opposing team's goal is on) stop the ball completely (start slowing down before that tho). do like 2 stepovers, then push the ball to the side with the outside of your foot, you should have a nice cross atempt from there...
watch c. ronaldo's vids, he's the master.

When some one is running from behind, at an angle to cut you off, you can do Zidane's roulette. That works. I've seen Zidane do it at a full run!

When someone is running alongside you really can't beat a Cruyff burst. There are clips of C. Ronaldo doing it, as well as Denilson, Drogba, Joe Cole, and probably more.

If somone is running alongside you; start with a cruyf turn, but just stop the ball don't pull it back as you usually do, then spin around and drag the ball whit you with your other foot. Like a roulette but the first step is a cruyf turn.
There is two ways to do this move.
1: You do it very fast like a shoot fient so the defender stops, trying to block your shoot, but you just spinning around and runs away from him
2: You take more time with the cruyf move so the defender thinks he understand what you are going to do and stops four stoping your turn, and then you spinning around and run away from him.
There is 100 of way to beat a defender, just improve your own moves or combinate two or more moves.
I hope you understand my explanation.

yeah the best move imo for a one on one is the step over the okocha one,its the same one cristiano ronaldo and quaresma does u role the ball under your feet and then do some step overs it works all the time 4 me.But listen mate only beat when you have no other option if u have a simple option or good option make the pass but if u feel u can creat a better chance for a pass or shot by beating him try the beat.

try not to loose the ball, so do a trick you have mastered and then cross it in? or do 1 or 2 step overs real quick then maybe you can stop the ball roll it twice and do a pass or sumthnig but my sugeston is watch some Cristiano Ronaldo videos and eventually you will like a skill and try to do it in the end????

Is this Okocha move the same one Ronaldo did in a match, then shot with his left foot and it thundered off the crossbar? Ironically I think that match was against Bolton as well!
