Im getting new boots and the pitches that i play on are quite boggy. I would prefer to get metal blades as they are easier to play with. But are you still allowed to wear them as i heard they were dangerous to other players. Does anyone know if your still allowed to use them?
crhs_fusballer
They are illegal for little kids and some adult and youth leagues, so call your club manager and ask.

I think they are still legal in non proffessional leauges etc. But the FA might be banning them soon, after Sam Allardyce banned his players from wearing them.

i have predator pulse SG and they are metal blades and i love them and they are legal in my premeir league and in high school as far as i know, i havent gotten any problems with them so they are legal i think.

Wouldn't the studs be more dangerous than the blades?? they look like it bcs the predator blades look like they wouldn't do much damage.

Is it just me or does ne one else think so? unsure.gif

It's hard to tell which would be more dangerous. The studs are longer, but they arent' as pointy as the baldes (but I know the blades aren't like razorblades).

those are studs. i'd say blades can cause a lot of damage to ourselves more than others,

1. the extra traction planted into the ground and u getting kicked in the back of the leg will result you with a broken leg ie djibril cisse and his f50's.

2. heinze wore predators and done his knee or was it his ankle last season.

3. gary neville wore predators and his groins ar fcuked.

but i dunno. i've been hearing that fergie is trying to ban his players from wearing blades but somehow i see o'shea, van der sar and other adidas endorsers still wearing blades.

But from what you say, the studs like on Nikes are still good and people are allowed to wear them? Sorry, I'm just confused, and I want to get some SG boots.

nooo. any1 can wear any type of boots, studs or blades it doesnt matter. but what i'm saying is that too much traxion technology on adidas boots could cause torn ligaments and broken legs. if i fell and twisted my leg if i tried to get away from a slide tackle with my foot planted down onto the ground with adidas blades........ i break my leg.

studs are circular so it is less likely u will break a leg or tear some ligaments if u twist.

Thanks for clearing that up, that makes me feel better about studs.
