my coaches don't care. i do what i want except take off my shirt now ( in high school it is a straight red card.) Celebration is a part of the game. U should be able to celebrate after your hard work of putting it into the back of the net.
adriano#10 where are you at? in south carolina its a yellow card in the high school league.

not letting u showboat is weird unless u do it just to show ff, taking your shirt off is even punished in Fifa rules, but dancing wtf, y on't they let dat. Do they let u jump in the air or do the aeroplane lol?
yea they kinda let us do airplanes and small stuff......but i like to run by the crowd and just smirk at them.....(while i've been hit by a battery and a can of pepsi)
is it only like this in usa?.....

I don't know why the coaches and stuff are so strict in the U.S. I mean why the hell would you get a red for taking your shirt off when if you play in the WC or other international games it's only a yellow. I celebrate all the time, lately I do the samba and brush off the side of the boot that I scored with. If it's a header, I brush the dirt off my shoulder and do a stutter step then run back to halfway,

In my experience in england they let you do most things, Ive doens some pretty wacky and dumb celebrations in my time and havent got carded ore told off by my coach. I think they probably dont let you do it because they see it as time-wasting or something, its still unlucky though.
my friend got CHEWED out by my coach last game because he ran off and did a backflip over the corner flag......crowd went crazy
yer im in australia aswell n they dont really care wat u do but obviously if u take ur shirt off ur prolly gunna cop a yellow atleast

do what i do for a celebration. run over to the coach and put a finger to your mouth as if to say "be quiet".
yea that might lower my chances of playing at the university he coaches at

That;s wrong. They are killing YOUR passion for the game. If you can't cheer and experience the moment, what's the point in playing ?
There is celebrating and there's going over the top.
I don't see why you can't clench your fists, punch the air, go for a wild run, get mobbed by team mates, that's the joy of scoring, you can't take that away.
Taking off the shirt, gestures to the crowd, and over celebrating in the oppositions faces , however, are wrong and that is prob what your coach is trying to avoid, just going a bit too far.

This sounds just like the NFL fining its players for pre-planned celebrations, something I find ridiculous. I guess it's just part of the North American mentality, and the fact that football is not a religion here, as it is in other parts of the world. I guess they just don't understand some of the passion that is involved.
That or he's just being an arsehole. Who cares what he says: oyu scored, you deserve to be able to celebrate. What does he care if you just helped the team?

Absolutely nothing wrong with bringing up old topics if they are relevant, it's only when they are like 4 months old and completely irrelevant now that they start to get annoying/confusing
The way my team tends to celebrate is the player being mobbed, high-fived or grabbed, but if it's a really big game with a decent crowd they will celebrate. Teams which score more goals also seem to celebrate their goals less - they're less special. That's why i prefer my league this season - it's a lot more difficult (new teams in the league and we lost 9 players

)
Celebrating is part of the game that
must stay a large part of it, for example, if you watching a game and your team scored a great or important goal and the players just strolled back to their positions, would you care about the goal? Doubtful. And if you didn't care about the goals, why bother going? Celebration is an intrinsic part of football
(PS beat the fascists!
