Those don't look very good

two boots that should never be combined and released IMO

i don't like um. predator boots are hard enough to get used to. combining them isn't such a great idea. but we should all understand that they do this with marketing purposes in mind.

it's kinda what they do now with the blackout pulses & absolutes
Romeo371M
Aug 27 2005, 11:14 AM
kinda, but these just look like a normal boot. i guess adidas got what they wnated then. a low publicity test of a boot.

Ok guys
Tose pics are from when the Manias were the main Predator, and pulses were still being tested and were unreleased. These are simply boots with mainly pulse elements, but made to look like redular manias.
The pics posted previously, in ither threads were absolutes made to look like blackout pulses, because the absolute are being tested out by pros.

we know all that... but i have never seen that hybrid shoe before...i have seen black out pulses when they were testing it...

There have been many disguises of this boot, mysterious, you can tell though If you look closely at the boot that they are new additions but the average punter in the croud would neiter be concered about the players boots or if theyre new or not.
Many other compaines have disguised boots before (umbro, puma, nike to name a few) its not a new custom at all but I think its a clever marketing ploy, as it gets the public more in awe of the boots release date (if u see what I mean).
PEACE.

i saw a pic in dis weeks copy of 'match' magazine those boots from the top view, it shows zidane wearing those hybrid boots, though all the other players who usually wear the newest adidas boots arent wearing them e.g kaka, raul etc. They are just wearing their normal predator pulse.

sometimes they disguise a boot that a pro wears. thats an older model, to look like the new ones. i've seen this done with the old f50s. some pros sponsored by adidas liked the old f 50's better, so they would have adidas paint their regular f50 the same colros as the f50+ when they first came out. punjab and pear/red. that way people would think they are using the new shoes and they would say... "then it MUST be good"

Beckham can't wear the absolutes because he is still promoting his dragon boots. If he doesn't wear them, he won't sell them.

Its so pointless. We all knew about the absolutes long before zidane wore the blacked out ones. Its bad marketing really, cause you want to build hype and whatevs. Disguising new boots to make them look like bad old ones isnt a great idea.

Well not evrey single human on this earth reads this or other similar forums u know? This blackout is a very good ideea because they need feedbacks without revealing the shoe...maybe they will modify something after this...who knows?... adidas in not the only one who make this blackout stuff...

Yeah, but most fo the people who give three fifths and who are likely to notice the diff between absolutes and pulses will probably have been on a site like this and seen them. We are generally a rare breed here in the boot room. None of my mates care that much about boots, while we are all obsessed.
