You think so? Do they usally do such things, when new boots come out? It had been great if they did.

Wow, those yellow lasers are really growing on me. I'll just have to wait and see what the precision rings feel like. I don't think they look like they would be that beneficial, I would normally prefer a cleaner striking surface, but who knows. They do look very nice.

Damn

I was REALLY hoping they wouldn't use the same stud config. as the Supremacys. IMO, the total 90 II's stud layout was the best. I wonder what the upper will feel like. It looks alot different then regular Teijin. Also, I hope the vamps area isn't too thick. You'll lose alot of touch if it is.

does anyone have any ideas when the lasers may come out to the public. ive read they will be debuted this week in the milan vs man u match but any ideas of when i can get a pair? i believe the supremecies were released around this time last year and a year seems to short for a total 90 boot. they have really grown on me especially since i read that there will be kangaroo leather versions.

Not a fan...the colorway and foot-bones in the outsole look silly. The whole boot looks gimmicky...

The lacing on the Lasers looks pretty odd to me, starting centrally and all of a sudden becoming asymmetrical. Well, hope it works all the same.

holy shit i'm hyperventilating right now

EDIT: a couple of things i've noticed.
1. The heel padding is gone but they do have a little bit of padding on the ankle like the talaria III's.
2. They say mercurial on them bu not vapor.

The material looks too soft, vapors used to have a ood firm synthetic which felt nice to strike a ball with, the lace cover looks silly and the tick is far far too big. The orange ones look alright on second glance but I hate those black/blue ones.

btw, I hope they are the talarias... which is a possibility, there's just "mercurial" written on them

Apr 23 2007, 01:34 PM
idk if they are talarias because of the stud configuration is much like the Vapor III's with the off colored back studs. Not to mention that they wouldnt put the "Carbon Fibre"-esque design on a mid boot. The thing that throws me off is that NIke usually gives extra design consideration to their insoles, and this one is quite hideously simple...plus the fact that they say mercurials....is the Vapor dead then? are we back to Match Mercurials...oh God NOOO!!

I agree....I hope that they are not the new vapors! They have lost completely the vapor looks and tradition...Even if they are the new vapors, i'm gonna stick to the ones i got.

I dont like them Vapors one bit, The model seems that its taken things off other boots and put it on the 'Vapor'
I was suprised not to see anything taken from the absolute range on it

how do we know that these arent like the 2nd or 3rd rate version of what is going to come out soon? Maybe these are like the talarias or steam of the new vapors. Btw whatever the new vapors will look like, they wont be on sale for about a year.

Apr 23 2007, 02:50 PM
Okay, now that i've stopped vomitting, I must say.... wait........hurghurgheghrhur..... Sorry about that, NOW I'm done. First of all, those are the trippiest pair of boots i've ever seen. Secondly, you probably won't be able to cut off the lace cover. It's much too big. I don't exactly understand why they have one at all. The Vapors' main thing was speed, not getting a clean strike on the ball. One would think a lace cover would add weight to the shoe, thus going against what they're all about. That's not even considering the design aspect of the boots. The massive swoosh and the insane colours make it look like something out of Star Trek. On that note, I find it interesting that Nike are going very 'galactic' with their boot designs (and I mean that quite literally), yet very classic with their kit designs. Considering these boots won't be released until a year or so from now, we could possibly be looking at similar 'galactic' kit designs for the season after next. Whatever drugs the Nike design team are smoking, they must be pretty heavy.

1 - Bringing the pics to this page
2 - Doesn't it look like the carbon fibre is the heel counter
3 - Carbon fibre is quite pricey, I doubt it would be on a low-end boot retailing at £30-£40

True. Its just a plastic plate with carbon fiber style cross hatching sewn onto the heel.

EDIT: vapor for comparison

on those new vapors, if nike juss removed the lace cover that's stitched on there i think it would a hell of a lot nicer cleat.
because when u tie ur cleats tight, wouldn't the cover juss bend and create a teepee like center? I do like the large swoosh that is incorporated into the design however.
