Nipper says: OK this is now the thread for smaller brands such as Umbro, Reebok, Lotto etc.
Hummel products are no longer to be discussed in this topic as I have re-pined the old Hummel topic which is full of great information and allows you to talk directly with the Product Manager, Footwear Dept. for Hummel International - a great oppprtunity for you all.

I'm a big fan of the Nomis boots, so I would recommend them too. Really really comfy. And the Black Pearl looks like a wet grip boot so you will get more grip in wet than dry conditions. (Still trying to work that one out!!). Defo post a review so we can see what you think.

Yeh they do. Its just the same colour as the tounge so you cant see it good. Look at the edges.

The people that made the pic just put the strap under the toungue, not over it.

I've recently got execs in black.. one of the comfiest boots i've ever played in - seriously soft leather and the soleplate is so flexible its brilliant - only downside is the stud configuration doesnt give a lot of arch support (on the SG version anyways) - still a quality boot tho

Sure can. Look on their website - the wet grip boots still give a load more grip than any other boot anyway - it's just that the wet grip's get even more grip when they get wet, where as the dry grip just gives a whole heap more grip - I just don't think it responds to the wet in the same way.

My brother has a pair of Nomis Black Pearls and theyre Wet Grip. The leather is specially treated and has a unique texture. Theyre pretty nice and so far the leather is exactly same as they day he got them. So as for durability and the last of the grip they hold up great. He says theyre not as comfy as his old Puma Shudohs though. lol

Nomis said on their website that they've signed a couple of European footballers, so that's why I asked.

The hummel mestalla are out now. they are actually a 2005 boot, so have been in stock since last jan/feb depending on your market.
i do know though that they may be tough to find, however, as they sold out really fast and it was quite a limited production run.
you best bet to find a retailer in your market is to check the net, or you can contact your local hummel sales office to find a shop that may carry them.
For 2006 the mestalla wont be re-released internationally, but will be available in some markets, mostly in europe (denmark/germany).

from the looks of things, the pinned topic idea is good in concept, but not really working in theory. there are tons of posts and new boots (tunit, vap3, etc.) not in the pinned threads. guess it is just kinda difficult to scroll through 10 pages of posts compared to starting a new topic.
guess we'll have to just go with the new posts
