Why can't Puma make a boot that is a protective, comfortable boot built for speed. Besides the obvious reason of wanting all our money.

you got that all right except for the durability. Pumas are very durable with the exception of one or so cleats. my old Cellerators were like tanks when it came to durability, my friends Kings lasted him 3 seasons with everyday wear, another friend has the Konstructs and they've held for a season and a half, and another friend has the Kings, they've lasted him 3 seasons. The only one that i've seen problems with are the V1s but that's just from the effort that they made to make it so light and "fast"

true, my v1 only lasted 2 months

^^^Not sure, the heel counter on my friends konstructs fell off after not that long, an i've heard some bad things about execs durability. And then obviously there's the V1's which have crap durability.

Durability is down to style. Like how, if you drag your toes when you strike a ball/run then of course the toes will wear down easier/seperate from the upper. If you walk really heavily the sole may be under more strain and break. If you involve twisting and turning alot in your game, then the glue attatching the sole to the upper will be strained more and will seperate easier. Maybe you play very aggresively, diving into tackles, throwing yourself at the ball, of course the boots will break easier.
I, personally, find my Konstructs amazing, but another person may hate them for being un-durable. My Exec TTs were great, comfy, no signs of wear, even though I used them most break times at school and every friday on a sand-based-turf pitch, so no durability issues there either.
Also what many people forget is that each boot is different, there is no way of making one boot
exactly the same as another, so there are always bound to be faults.
...Just while we're on the topic of durability

What's the difference between the x boot 3 and the x boot destroyer?
Which of the new releases are center-laced, if any?
These boots look all really good quality and really comfortable.

Does anyone else think that Umbro are 'over designing' their boots nowadays? like they have put a little Michelin symbol on one of their boots etc.

its sad how centre lacing is now "a Feature" it was on all the best boots like copas and pantfolo d'oro but since the AZT90 came along nearly every boot has crappy side lacing. If I become a football coach after i finish school when i tell kids to strike it with their laces they will start spinning the ball off at all angles. Bring back centre lacing!

In the press release that mizuno issued saying Sheva had left he was wearing those shinkens. They weren't brought out though.

i never really liked thed wave shinkens but that colorway looks just too good
Not sure about the quality though, my friend had a pair and after about a month, the threads started splitting. And they are definitely not made in Japan.
