Here is my review of my Puma V1-06's.

Today I was pleasently surprised with a pair of Puma V1-06's in Red in FG in size UK 8,5. Before any1 asks, they are from South Africa.

Weight: 219g (10 grams more than Vapour in 8,5 uk)

Firstly, Aesthetics. They are extremely striking and eye-catching on the shelf. I can see many people who aren't too familiar with boots, buying or wanting these boots because they are so bright and different. The square looking toe-box and geometrically shaped heel counter match eachother well. The new material also looks very nice, and feels nice to the touch. The sole plate looks awesome! The carbon fibre is brilliant, and the studs look perfectly layed-out.

Comfort wise, these boots are brilliant. They mould around your feet perfectly, and I can't see any1 having a problem with blisters.

Performance. I think these boots will offer you the closest touch to the ball than ANY other boot. The Vapour feels close and tight on your foot, but feels extremely tight after wearing these. The material is so soft, it is like a sock. This REALLY is like a sock with studs, I promise!

Overall: These boots are mind-boggleingly beautiful and brilliant! They look AMAZING and are sooooo comfy on your feet. Vapors were so light that it felt like there was nothing on your feet, but you were reminded there was when you got some discomfort. These REALLY feel like nothing on your feet. These boots may get dirty, but I HIGHLY recomend them. BTW, tthey come with a boot bag as well, a real nice one!

Never have i felt so strongly about the brilliance of a boot. WOW!!!!!

Sold! I'm definetely getting these when they come out over here. From what you've said they sound, dare I say it, perfect.

Your feet hurt in any boots when you get stamped on. There's no difference in pain between being stamped on in Vapors or F50s or most boots. None provide any more protection than any other pair, such is the thinness of all boots these days.

Ya, I think it would hurt alot, but how often do you get stepped on anyways? I'm a defender, so i don't get stepped on all that often, i'm the one putting a foot in.

I don't know about durability, but these boots are the closest to being perfect than any other boots i've ever had or seen, and that means ALOT.

Hey arsenax, what's the fit like, is it more of a wide last or a narrow one?

are yours a little long in the toe?

I go a US 10, which is what i wore in Exec's, but i still have a quarter inch of room in the toe....I thought half sizes were not available...

I dunno, I might have to sell them or something, because I think it might be a problem.

the width of the fit is preetty much perfect like he said. The upper is really flexible, so it just molds to your foot.

By the way, I thought these were supposed to be lighter than vapors, but they feel about the same....maybe even a little bit heavier. Not a big difference at all though.

They are slightly wider and shorter than the Vapors.

Good to see Digby wearing the Nomis line...really taking off in Aus rugby, seen quite a few now.

Why would you wanna do that? It wont do anything except hurt your ankle. Maybe if you did it nonstop for weeks on end you could work up a big callous and it wouldnt hurt anymore. I think you guys are making too big a deal about how much difference the new material will make.

When I kick barefoot for hours my feet don't hurt at all....why does every1 have such sensitive feet, lol!

wow, lots of interest and questions. thanks for the good response. as you all know, I have been posting pics and info about these boos, and the development of the line here at SP for the last 7 months or so. It feels great for me to finally have these boots in production after so much work, and great feel a good response to them! thanks!

ill do my best to answer everyone, but i may have to get back to some questions later. being at home this weekened and not in the office, some of the info i dont have handy.

1. distribution. for now, worldwide distribution is limited. we do not currently have distribution partners in singapore/HK, but i do know we have recently been looking into different options. In asia, we have distribution in japan, korea and now also australia. for questions about any other specific country or product/shops in each country your best bet is to check our website, which has more contact info. as well, it always helps to ask at your local sportshop about hummel, so hopefully they can call us and get in contact!

2. indoor versions. currently there is only an indoor version of the 4.2. there also a new model specifically designed for indoor football, called the 1.3 Sala. I'll see what i can do get some more pics up.

3. prices. prices may vary by country or retailer, but the MSRPs of the new boots from hummel are as follows,

4.2 Concept FG 120EUR
6.2 Concept FG 144EUR
6.2 Concept Pony FG Limited Edition (only 1923 pairs worldwide) 192,30EUR

there are SG versions of the 4.2 Concept, and the 8.2 Concept, but not all colors are available in SG versions.

Thanks for the reply. I must say that hummel has done a great job and most of the shoes look fantastic and classy. Not too sure about the pony...that hair thing is not for everyone..hehe

Anyway, I am sorry that you are not distributing it in Asia esp in the far east. You do know that there are alot of people like myself who collect boots from all over the world and at the moment is a great market to be in.

If you had a presence here esp in football crazy SE asia, I am sure you will do well because people are always looking for an alternative to adidas and nike!

what shall i say about it?
Hummm well, hummle has done lot of great job for their soccer
boots, evolutions shall i say? but those are just on the surface/style/good looking.

Any evolutions for a SOCCER boot? i perfre wear these boots with the studs cut off...

why is the new puma, v1 or v3 not 5oz like everyone was saying it was going to be.

damn.just when i thought these were the nicest looking ones.too bad its pig skin man(gotta stay away from that stuff,im muslim).oh well..great designs anyways.

I'd say so. The texture of the leather doesn't look the same as the texture on the V1's.

lol, so true, but they're so tite. lighter than the vapor 2, amazing. i mean only .3 ounces, but still. If they have a better feel than the vapor 2's then i'm buying them, unless the adidas tunit is lighter. but i still hate that tounge on the tunit. when is puma going to release this boot in black? the V1 i mean.

Not shure......... they dont look all that tbh, i kinda feel black is suited for a comfy leather boot with great padding.

I find it difficult to navigate around this thread... can the mods rearrange the boot info like the Nike thread, where they put the boot info pics at the first few posts?
