Hmm...so browsing on PDS and saw these.
Why do Uhlsport think they can charge £150 for a pair of boots, surely their sales will be VERY MINIMUM

It'll take a while for any durability reviews seeing as they are new

Yes but they are sexy as hell, if i was uber rich i'd buy a pair
G-Run
Jul 11 2007, 02:18 PM
I don't like them at all, and I wouldn't pay £150 for a boot made by 'unproven' bootmakers. Plus, in that picture they look about size 17s
Costa Del Sop
Jul 11 2007, 03:59 PM
£150 is a lot of money for a pair of boots granted but im not worried about them being unproven, i only ever buy boots for their looks anyway.
G-Run
Jul 11 2007, 05:31 PM
I'd be worried about unproven boots, especially for that price! what if they fall apart in a day or something.
and don't you consider comfort when you buy boots, or purely looks?
Costa Del Sop
Jul 12 2007, 08:26 AM
i would be a bit worried about durability, but if worst came to worst i could always send them back on the warrenty. I never know what a boots going to be like when i buy it. For instance when i got legends, after trying them on in the shop they felt amazing, but when it came to playing in them i didn't like them at all. The exact opposite with my abs, they felt too tight and a bit stiff when i tried them on but as soon as i got playing in them they were awsome.

Comfort > Looks
G-Run
Jul 12 2007, 01:54 PM
Yes but the thing that attracts you straight away to boots is obviously the looks... you don't look at boots and say WOW they look very comfy.
You look at boots that you think are nice, you try them on and hope they're comfy, usually its hard to tell from just trying something on.

Hey . . .sorry if this has already been answered, but do any high-profile pros where the Puma V-Konstrukt IIs. I just bought them and they really are very nice boots, but I can't seem to find any pros who wear them.

Add to the list Scotty Parker, Dean Ashton, Kevin Nolan, Michael Dawson, Liam Ridgewell, Wilfred Bouma.
And those black zhero gravs are just simply beautiful. I might have to try and fork out the cash for them sometime in the near future.

I have a few unanswered questions about the puma v1 k's:
1. i tried on a pair of 10's at my local store and the store manager immediately told me to go half a size higher. it was a snug fit, and the manager was afraid my toe would bust through the leather when i pivoted. i tried on a pair of 10.5's, and they fit well after i put on an extra pair of socks. how much do the v1k's stretch, b/c i dont want them to be too big, especially with two pairs of socks on?
2. from what ive seen and heard, the v1k's give terrible ankle support. i play defense (wing back), and so do you think the support would be good enough for a defender's lateral movement?
3. how durable are the v1 k's, especially if i play on turf (not astroturf, but some pretty good material) about three days a week--given that i dont drag my feet?
i know its a lot to ask, so all answers are greatly appreciated.

i had the silver and blue ones and they fit me perfectly at 10.5. go with the snug fit. your foot will slide around when you cut and move laterally, not sure why. i didn't get very much ankle support and i play wingback as well. i played on a couple of turf fields too. and durability is going to be horrible anyway you look at it. V1s are only for matches and even at that, you'll hopefully get one season out of them

k thanks a lot man. just let me get this straight--youre saying to go with the size 10, which was the truly snug fit, and i shouldnt worry about my toe busting through?
