lol, so true, but they're so tite. lighter than the vapor 2, amazing. i mean only .3 ounces, but still. If they have a better feel than the vapor 2's then i'm buying them, unless the adidas tunit is lighter. but i still hate that tounge on the tunit. when is puma going to release this boot in black? the V1 i mean.

honeslty i dont hink the weightmatters so much. Its more how they fit. If theyre snug and they dont feel liek as second shoe but rather a part of the skin. And 3 oz isnt much thats a pen cap or so. AS long as its not over 10oz im good. But even if tunits r im getting them anyway.
smithxi
dude i'm not a lightweight shoe freak, trust me. i play in copas and sambas all day long. i'm just disappointed that everyone kept saying that this shoe was going to be lightweight. to me it should have been lightweight, its past due time that adidas made a lightweight shoe. i'm just saying this isn't cutting it. you guys have to agree with me here.
Pubes
no, we dont..because each company has individuality..not each company needs the exact same mentality..you dont see nomis making lightweight boots do you?..maybe thats not adidas' mentality in the boot market..
smithxi
you call that the exact same mentality?
LFC12
hey has any1 got konstructs?
cos i can buy em if i want i was holding them in my hands 2day i swear the leather felt softer than absolutes!
look really nice as well! im thinking of getting em cos my absolutes dnt fit that at the moment sad.gif crying_new.gif

Hello_Nomis
Hi

Don't want to double post such a long post, but just to let you know, in the Nomis Questions and Answers thread I have posted details of our new website launch and the Control Freaks scheme - a fantastic idea to let you "join" the Nomis design team. (Great prices on the boots if you join too). Anyway, any questions - hit me in the other thread.

Thanks
Michael

Glad you like. Actually, both of these models, I believe were only released exclusively in Denmark for this first collection, and although they just came out in the shops a week or so ago, may already be sold out! First production wasnt very big, and on delivery demand was much higher than we expected it!

Never fear though, more sneakers on the way. For fall (july delivery in shops) we will be releasing more colors of this sneakers, plus some other models, in our Old School Collection. Distribution should be wider too.

Check more pics and info, here.

cheers,

on another topic, there has been some questions about the new Pittards WR Premiership material used on hummel boots. I posted some info in another post, but here's the full text and accompanying technical diagram.

cheers,

R

----Goat Skin
In cooperation with Pittards Leather, hummel International is proud to introduce Pittards WR Premiership Goat Skin leather specially developed for outstanding football boot performance. hummel International is the first brand to introduce this exciting new material in Football boots.

High abrasion resistance
Prevents wear and tear

Permanent water resistance
Ensures lightweight comfort in wet conditions

Enhanced Grip
Water resistance enhances grip and touch in all conditions

Optimum softness
Engineered leather remains naturally soft to the touch in use

Excellent sweat resistance
Prevents material breakdown keeping leather soft and supple

Unique breathability
Maximum breathability ensures comfort and performance

Abrasion Resistance
Compared to Kangaroo and Bovine (cow) leather, Goat Skin has a unique fiber structure that gives it natural superior abrasion resistance and breathability.

This natural abrasion resistance is further enhanced by a special combination of high performance polymers, silicones and waxes, Pittards eNamelFlex. Applied by process technology this treatment ensures high strength, flex and abrasion properties.

WR100X Treatment
The WR100X tanning process has been specially engineered to offer improved water resistance properties, which keep your hummel footwear protected at all times. Although water is sealed from getting in, WR100X leather is still breathable and will allow perspiration and air to pass through the fiber structure, keeping the foot cool and comfortable.

Ordinary leathers take over 24 hours to dry and are usually hard and prone to cracking. WR100 leather dries in around 6 hours, and is as soft and supple as on the first wearing.

Pittards
Throughout its 178-year history, Pittards has been at the forefront of leather tanning and raw material procurement. Known for extremely high standards and quality products, Pittards plc is a premium supplier of high performance leather to the world's leading brands of gloves, shoes, luxury leathergoods and sports equipment

Care
Pittards WR Premiership Goat Skin leather is a unique premium performance product specifically designed for the high performance needs of football boots. Pittards WR Premiership Goat Skin leather has been specially treated with permanent conditioning and protection.

If properly cared for, your boots will last a long time providing years of performance.

1. Cleaning. Clean surface dirt from your boots using a damp towel. Use only water and do not use chemical cleaners, bleach or harsh abrasive materials. Never machine wash Pittards WR Premiership Goat Skin leather boots.
2. Drying. Always allow your boots to dry in open air after a match. Do not keep in an airtight bag or place near a heat source. Never machine dry boots with Pittards WR Premiership Goat Skin leather. To help preserve the shape of your boots, it is recommended to use a wooden shoe trees or gently stuff your boots with newspaper while air drying.
3. Conditioning. Pittards WR Premiership Goat Skin leather has been specially conditioned during the tanning process to permanently infuse important compounds into the leather grain structure for incredible softness and touch. This treatment will last for the life of your boots. No additional conditioning treatments are required.
4. Protection. The Pittards WR100X treatment has been bonded to the structure of the leather grain during tanning for increased water and sweat resistance. This protection is permanent. No additional protection sprays or treatments are required. The use of additional oils, or petroleum products on Pittards leather, may clog the pores and reduce breathability.

sorry Richard, but got to ask you this.....are you on this Pittards company payroll???? Or something????? Just seems weird you have to keeping posting this stuff all the time!!!!! A bit too much blatant advertising if you ask me. I thought that was against SP's policy.....MODS am I correct?? I come here for peoples opinions on the boots.

On my other post about the torn leather, the ground was fairly hard to be truthful with you. I did not notice the rip until I got home to clean my boots, so not sure when it happened. Did do a number of sliding tackles in that game blink.gif

The white stuff and the foam glued to the back of the leather, easily seen on the ripped piece. I still dont get how it can breathe through all this and glue. Look if you say other boots are like it then so be it, just confused about though. And was interested to see you said it can't stretch....so how can it mould to my foot??? Even more confused. sad.gif I might try to find my really old copas and cut them to see if they are the same.

Yes, the reason I tried it is because it is pretty much the same as the copa, but does feel quite different on the foot. It felt narrower for some reason, but I thought it would stretch, but I guess not.

Its just something he knows a lot about, seeing as its a material and a company Hummel work with quite a bit. And seeing as Richard works with Hummel, it makes sense that he posts what he knows about. He's been a great addition to Sp! thumbsup.gif Some great info has come from him and if he wasn't here, you wouldn't be able to ask him about your boot thumbsup.gif wink.gif

Hi Peter,

no I am not on Pittards' payroll. Just trying to post some information about a new material that I think others would be interested to know. This is the Hummel thread so I would think more info about the boots, material would be helpful. I have also discussed other materials like synthetics, etc. so I dont think I am particularily biased or anything.

As for the reinforcement material and breathability, the reinforcements used are acutally totally breathable. The nylon lining is a woven material which means there is a weave and holes in it, and foam by its very nature (have small air bubbles in it which makes it "foamy" is also very breathable.

The point of all these reinforcements is not to make it 100% unstretchable, but to control the amount of stretch. Any natural material will stretch because of the grain and fiber composition, but as mentioned the nylon lining helps reinforce it.

As for your copas or other boots, I cant tell from experience and cutting up hundreds of other competitor samples, that our construction is very common. Indeed there are different kinds of constructions, reinforcements used, and I cant remember off hand if the copa is exactly the same as the 4.2, but in general all boots must have reinforcement or they would stretch out after one game!

hope this helps. maybe ill work on posting some pics of cut up shoes on my blog to better illustrate what is inside.

cheers,

Richard
Hello_Nomis

man, those street classics are sick.. i want a pair!!!
GINOLA14
I'm thinking of buying the Puma v1.06 but as none of the stores near me sell the boot, I have to buy it online.
Here's the predicament I was always told when purchasing boots go for half a size bigger to let the boot mould to your feet etc. My feet are a size nine (u.k sizes) and at the moment I own a pair of Nike Tiempo premier in size 9.5.
So to those people who have bought this boot have you gone for a half a size larger or your normal foot size?
jordan s
hey i just orderd my v1.06 in red firm ground and im a uk 10 in adidas and a 9.5 in nike there was no sites that had a 9.5 so i got a 10 as there synthtic and wont really stretch
GINOLA14
I think pds do half sizes
