I guess Henry's Sprintfit colorway is sort of analogous to Beckham's Predators. I feel kit matching has become the new thing among the corporations. Any idea how the red Vapor 4s match with the Manchester United kit?

I disagree. The X boot was an amazing boot for me. It is light, comfy and looks great. The michelin stuff works class but as you said, it does wear out.

I felt the leather in a shop a few weeks ago, was incredibly stiff. Does it soften after a while?
KenNY-
Jan 6 2008, 06:23 PM
The leather on my X-boot's are soft as. They are k-leather after all and the material under the michelin grip stuff is suppose to be a "kangaroo suede" which is really really soft.
IMO the X-boot's touch is on par, if not better, than the Legends (I have both atm) and for me I get better contact when kicking/shooting with the X-Boots coz they fit the shape of my feet better.
Having said that, if you get a light colour then be prepared to spend some time cleaning the Kangaroo stuff on the instep as it does cling onto a bit of dirt, etc.
Also, I have found that water gets into the boot quite easily as it has a lot of stitching but this is similar to most k-leather boots anyway.

Hey guys, can someone tell me what the difference between
these freestyle V1.06 boots and regular v1.06 boots is?
Have there only been two models of V1 boots (V1.06 and V1.08)?
And how come the V3.06 boots are listed as professional/elite boots at PDS?
Sundell #21
Jan 7 2008, 04:44 PM
The freestyle boot is made of K-leather but i think it's just the color that is called freestyle.
Yes there have only been two models of V1.
I don't really know about the V3.06 maybe it is something price related?

Ok, I thought it might be K-leather because it was titled V1.06 K, but it is not under the Leather Collection, and the description does not state anything else other than what the other Puma V1.06 boots descriptions have.
That's the one thing PDS needs to improve. Individual boot descriptions.
Some of the V1.06's are regular fit and some are small fit on PDS. Is that true?
About the carbon fiber bottom. How much thicker is it than the stuff on the Legends?
Is the leather on the V-Konstrukts kangaroo leather?
And whatever happened to the Cellerators? How many models of those were there? Where can I get them now (other than on Ebay)?

What's the difference between the Puma King Exec iFG and the Puma King Exec FG? There are other Puma boots that have the i too, what does it mean?

Holy crap! Enough questions? Okay, well here goes. The v-konstrukts claim to be completely k-leather, but I own them and I can tell you that the only part that is actually k-leather is the toebox.
I'm not really sure what the difference is. I don't really think there is one, tbh. It's probably something they added/took away from newer models, as they've been around for three years now.
I believe there's been three versions of the x-boot.

Sorry, it's just that I want to know everything that I can about boots, and there are literally thousands of models made since the 90's. I wish that companies would strive more for quality and not quantity.
I also wish that there was an organized database of every boot that Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Umbro have made.

Random fact #129:
The X-Boot III is marketed by Umbro as a "striker's" boot (aka Michael Owen's boot)
While the Destroyer is marketed as a "defender's" boot (aka John Terry)
I don't see a lot of difference except for looks and a slightly bigger heal counter on the Destroyers. Just in case you wanted to know...I wore the X-Boot III's and played as a sweeper.....do the maths (or don't, coz there isn't any to do)

Puma V1.08's, dirt cheap. looks legit. He's offering a range of sizes and colours aswell. I'm pretty tempted, but would have to pay VAT in England, which makes the deal a bit less orgasmic. If I went for it, I think it would have to be between the yellows and the blacks though.

Yeah, the Motion Control is on the grippy stuff on the Destroyers though. For those in England, they are selling Destroyers for £30 at Sports World and Sprintfits for £25 - I'd buy them but I've heard bad things.

Yeah they were the real ones, I was shocked too because the low end ones are about £35. I think they're only in the size on display (it was a size 12) because the SG version was £60. They're supposed to be there (not just a boot in the wrong place) as they have been in the same place for ages.

So, Touch Control is on the X Boot III's upper and Motion Control is on it's soleplate (and studs? like Traxion for Predator?) while the Destroyer has Motion Control on the upper? Is Motion Control by Michelin?

Found
Revolution X SG boots for 30 pounds at a site called lovellsoccer.co.uk.
Didn't Deco wear those? I find it surprising that anyone not English or at least playing in England would wear Umbro boots.
I thought that there were two models of Revolution: I and II, but I guess the II is just another thing Umbro adds just like -A KTK and such.
The same site also has the V-Konstrukt I in FG and SG for 25 quid. But the FG's are only in sizes 6 and 7 1/2, while the SG's are only in a size 7.
