I checked out the V1.08s today and realised that they have double insoles, first the standard and underneath it a carbon fibre sole. if you take away the carbon fibre sole then the bottom part is see through.
Didn't everyone know that already? If I recall correctly, there was a stock photo posted (a few pages ago) of the V1.08's beside the carbon fiber insole and the regular insole. If it wasn't posted in this thread, then I'm quite sure that I saw it somewhere else on SP. If not on SP, then I know that I saw it somewhere else.

Has anyone else realised how obvious it is that Adidas are influencing Reebok's boots now that they took them over. Just look at the new Sprintfits:

- Blade placement: Same as X-Trx system.
- Tongue: Very similar to the Predator Absolute tongue.
- Tongue Strap: Very similar to a Predator Absolute strap.
- Stitching: Similar to the Predator Pulse.

Those new white colourways of the 1.08's are awesome as!!
For those that have seen/touched the new 08's, do they feel more solid than the 1.06's??
I have the 06's and the extra material on these 08's look like it gives heaps more support and wouldn't 'break' that easily.
Also, is that a massive chunk of rubber or plastic on the front of the 08's?? would that affect anything at all?

Ive had a good feel of them, and they feel several times more solid than 1.06s. Theyve definitely put an effort into making them stronger. And Im not sure whats on the front sorry

Yeah the new V1.8's do look like they're made to last longer than the old ones. I still am kinda afraid to have my feet exposed with that little protection though. My friend had some and his feet swelled up so bad after he got stepped on.

i got the v108s and the v108 trainers for christmas and have only used the cleats once, the toe is horrible it feels like it is like an inch high and i cant get the ball up at all and overall they just feel very strange had vapors, preds, v106s, and even the f50.6 andthe toe on those seemed low compared to these, hopefully i will get used to them since they are a little bit big the traniars rnt as bad but still feel strange

http://cgi.ebay.com/Mizuno-wave-Shinken-Bl...1QQcmdZViewItem What model of Shinken is that? In the item listing it states: ORIGINAL Mizuno wave shinken/blade FG!
But, I looked at the Shinken on Pro Direct Soccer, which is different than the one on Ebay, and it doesn't say anything about being the second model of Shinken boots.
Oh and I have made up my mind about the V1.08's and I think that they look....
Very ugly!
They are totally different than the V1.06's, which, by the way, I like. It looks like Puma used a different last for the V1.08. They look like sprint spikes and such. After the bend in the shoe on the sprint spikes (you know, the front part of the shoe), the front looks like it's three inches too long.
And, I don't know if they do it on purpose or if it just looks that way because the shoes are so long, but sprint spikes look like their front bend is set at a much greater angle than normal shoes. The front part of the shoe is quite high off the ground. I think it's made that way in order to push off of the balls of your feet and your toes. But, Nike's sprint spikes seem to have this more than other spikes.
Oh wait, this is from
http://www.runningunlimited.com/shoes/trackandfield.asp#:
(If you click on the link, then click on the question mark next to: Sprint Spikes, this comes up in a new window.)
These spikes are extremely lightweight and have virtually no heel or added cushioning since they are only worn for distances 400m or less. Sprint Spikes are designed to put you up on your toes and keep you there during the sprint. Sprint spikes are suitable for distances from 100m to 400m
So they are made to "put you up on your toes".
Anyway, the new V1 possesses both of these "qualities". Indeed, they are the first pair of clown boots!
This is basically my review on the V1.08's physical construction. I will comment on issues more look-related later, although the construction of a boot is just as important to the looks of the boot as the stuff that's on it.

Too true, a goals a goal no matter how it goes in. Id rather toe-poke one in than score an owngoal..
DB: they might look like clown-boots but if theyre made to be like sprint spikes, then theyre fulfilling their objective. the v1 range is supposed to be the fastest boots out after all
I have a feeling these have already been posted, but they look good so hey
