Ok imagine this... Your playing in a game... and your team has the ball and one of your players are running down the wings, he gets a good look and then crosses the ball towards the goalkeeper.. the Goalkeeper makes the save as he leaps into the air.. and falls down on the ground and hurts himself.. he lies on the ground for a couple of seconds and the ball gets away from him... the ball slowly comes to you, and the net is wide open for you to score in.. what would you do? Would you kick the ball out and allow the goalie to recieve treatment, or would kick the ball to the back of the net.. Just wondering cus this happened to me the other night.

why would someone not try to score? everyone on your team would be pissed if u just kicked it out of bounds. just because the keeper falls and hurts himself while making a save is not the opposition fault and it is not greed to put it into the back of the net. I bet if it had been that the other goalie on the other team got hurt and one of your players had a chance to score they would shoot it 100% of the time. I could see if it was a few seconds and the ball had left the box and it was up the field near midfield , no one in their right mind would kick it out for a goalie just because he was on the ground and the ball is still close to the goal area with a wide open goal. Common sense to me.
yea i agree with adriano#10.....for once
not trying to score would be being a bad sport for your own team. he fell and got hurt...he has to deal with it.....

The only time I would *not* score is if the ref blew his whistle and stopped the play. I dont think anyone would care if the keeper hurt himself unless he was screaming in pain.
Just curious, what did you do?

I'd score then let his team deal with him. It's not like you're the one who injured him.

I'd probably score, for me it's as if I started limping (while running down the wing) the opposition defender would have probably taken the ball away from me. So this is basically the same stuff only in this case it's the goalie who hurt himself.

if the ref blew the whistle then the goal you score wouldnt count anyway so i guess it wouldnt matter

i am not sure, if the keeper is hurt like sprained ankle or somet then i might stop play but if it is for a few seconds and i can see he is getting to his feet then i would score

what country or city did this happen in if i may ask? they know they would have done the same thing. who cares if they questioned your decision, that is why they are called the 'opponent'.
yea......on the pitch there is no feeling sorry for anyone

Re: Lazio-Palermo
I read this on another forum..
"there were lots of bad gestures in this game in the second half mostly from Lazio...One good one though is when the Palermo defender pulled a muscle infront of Inzaghi.Inzaghi could have been one on one with the keeper but he kicked the ball out..Pure Class, makes me wonder what went wrong with the other brother."
There, Simone Inzaghi chose to display sportsmanship. But he was probably scared of embarassing himself by missing an easy chance.

theres suppose to be a little hate between teams.....if you all love each other and treat each other like kings the game gets ruined

Lash the ball into the net, then go straight to the keeper and see if he is ok.
When you take a shot, and are injured in the process, does the GK come and see if you are ok instead of saving the ball ? No he doesn't.
Win first.

hehehe
What would be even cheekier would be to score it, then go over to the GK and kneel down next to him as if to ask if he was ok, all gentle like ......
... then clench your fist and shout YYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!! in his face.
I don't advocate that at all, and I have never done it ever.

LOL personally i reckon just score it and let it be. No need to go over and see if his ok, cause the way i see it, how many times in a match does an opposition player that hasnt contributed to the injury walk over and see if his ok? If you were the one who did something for him to get hurt, then go over and check. The GK didnt save the ball well enough, only got himself to blame i think

I actually thought about this and I think the only time I wouldn't score is if we were winning like 4-0 or something, other than that, no way!!!
