Who do you think is the fittest football player, running most at games and always push them selfs. I think Gattuso is fit, he run very much in games and always ready for new runs, it looks he never get tired. Roy Keane also have good fitnes. But the Norwegian Gamst Pedersen run most in the premiership.

how come makelele has been named by some people? he does hardly any running, just sits behind the midfield and breaks thinks up. does no way as much running as someone like gerrard who is a box to box player.

I'm not much of a Sorin fan, but he's one guy that I admire. All around great player.....except he should do something about the hair
In terms of stamina, I would probably say him or Maldini. I know Maldini's a LB but he's always in motion it seems and I don't know any other 36 year olds still performing at such a high level
Roberto Carlos, man here's another player who goes out there game after game and seems to have the energy of a 20 year old.

At present ... most fit players are:
1- Cafu (at 34,35 he still runs like a teenager and seldom got injured)
2- R.Carlos (always plays full games at his full energy up & down )
3- Maldini (eventhough he is not as active as the first 2, he's very "fit")
4- Z. Zanetti (Inter captain never tired of running all over the pitch)
5- Gatusso (he is like a tank )
mark.

Rooney. He is everywhere.
I've never seen a player pop up in so many places on a pitch.

ronaldinho up there? all the guy does is wait for the ball, rests while the midfielders and defenders run for the ball.

was justy about to say that, he never stops does he, same with heinze. Pederson is all over the place as well. Lampard is another, he has played in a record number of games in a row correct? Gattuso is up there. Some players named are just complete biased, ronaldinho? wtf...

yeh ronaldinho is a hardworking bloke and although he i known as the best player in the world, but thats all based on skills and his ability to play football in such an effective way. we wont be seeing him happily running back from a tackle to tackle the opponent back, he'd rather leave it to the defense.

For their age it has to be Maldini, Cafu and Baixinho Romario. Many people will disaree with my choice of Romario, but for Romario to even be playing at 39, let alone scoring, is amazing in my opinion.
