Well Adelaide United won 1-0 tonight. Louis Brain scored after 10 seconds. Richie Alagich got sent off after 15min but Adelaide held on to get the 3 points and go top!!
Disappointing crowd of 8900ish. It was a wet night in Adelaide tho and all the hype is re: showdown final (crows and power tomoz night) so I'd expect the next game vs CCMariners to attract more like 13,000 plus.
Adelaide keep grinding out the results and keeping clean sheets. 3 from 3 now. Only 2 goals tho - C'MON YOU REDS!!!

UUUUNNIIITTEEEDD!!

Tough performance but we needed it after Richie got sent off. (Wrongly IMO, ref was pathetic all night)
8,700 is poor compared to last season yes but there were a lot of distraction and i'd expect packed houses when the footy stops and the weather gets better.
Still poor excuses for me, where is the loyalty?

from a melbourne point of view, i was really dissapointed, first of all we let a regualar long ball get behind our defence to allow Adelaide a goal within 10 secs, then wen we have our chance after the sending-off, we create basically nothing, which was a great credit to Adelaide, overall poor performance and poor game, easily the Victorys worst performance so far

Dissappointed to see Melbourne lose, didnt play well up foward in a finishing sense. Dominated the game and created enough but didn't score and take chances, hate it when that happens. Adelaide in the end defender adequately and finished ahead. Victory lack decisiveness and the goal let through was really unexcuseable so quick from the start. Better off next time to the Melbourne boys. Good Job to Adelaide.

Footy Showdown and Adelaide Show - Smaller Crowd - should have had it in melbourne no finals.

I can really sense the major rivalry really developing between these two teams.
Anyone who was with the SDC just after the game when there were some "clashes" (no violence was involved though) like me could really feel that there was it's become more than a plain old game - it's a huge rivalry, and I can't wait till we go over to Hindmarsh and see that we exact our revenge
