I think that womens tennis right now is alot better than the mens. Just look at all the talented players- Elena Dementieva, Kim Clijsters, Williams sisters, Sharapova, Mauresmo, Myskina, Henin-Hardenne,Patty Schnyder, Davenport etc all great players to watch

Whereas in the mens, you have Federer, and well, thats it really.

i guess u're obliquely referring to men's tennis vs. women's tennis...

i think there is better depth in talent in the mens section.. and women's tennis its only a few good ones.. plus even fewer very good ones who battle it out..

mens tennis is more evenly spread as far as talent or skill goes... (with maybe Federer a cut above everybody else..)

i love watchin hard hitting rallies which u probably get to see only in the men's matches..

plus in the grand slams men need to win 3 sets.. so more action!!

tough one. the men's tennis has hard-hitting rallies and loads of talent and excitement. But the women's has Sharapova.

The womens have hard-hitters too. Dementieva, Sharapova, Williams's all hit the ball very very hard. I think somtimes it looks even harder than the mens shots. I think the women matches are better to watch as they have better technique and some hit the ball alot sweeeter than the men.

One thing i dont like about womens though is they never dive for shots. ( i guess they cant with skirts on )

Here's how I determine which is better: have the #1 man (federer) play the #1 female (i dontr know who right now lol), whoever wins gets the glory for their sex. Thats how it should be determined (we all know who wouldd win anyway).

The Men's tennis is better than the Womens own with speed and technique.

That is a load of rubbish, the men's technique is miles ahead of womens.
Because the womens looks more basic, people think the tachnique is good.
Top coaches will tell you to look at the women play because it's almost impossible to try and emulate ( spl?) the men's technique and ability.

^^Have you seen Patty Schyneder or Mauresmo play? I havent seen a male player that can put spin on the ball like she can. I dont see many men hitting the ball with the perfect timing of Elena Dementieva either.

Agreed, some male players like Coria, Federer, Puerta are brilliant, but on the whole I'd say womens is better.

Federer is by far and away the best male tennis player.... his dominance is unprecedented.... the first player to win the US Open and Wimbledon double in consecutive years since the 1930's (since the developement of the modern racket)... he has just turned 24 in August and looks to have atleast 6 more years at the top... John McEnroe said on CBS Sports during coverage of the US Open that Federer has a chance to be the best men's tennis player ever.

Women's tennis is very interesting too... and more competitive.... not a clear-cut favorite when the tournament starts.

But comparing the two is not fair.... its like comparing men's basketball to women's basketball... or men's football to women's football.... they are different... women have less athleticism.... men are stronger and faster... the matches are so much different... but both interesting and compelling.
