Heres a translation of a great Anderson article in O Jogo from today:

QUOTE
AnderSHOW!

Anderson gave a full show in the fantastic Brazil victory (4-3) over Turkey. The future FC Porto player literally qualified Brazil to the U-17 World Cup final with a suberb exhibition and currently is taking the risk of being considered the best player in the competition...

It may look repetitive and even exagerated for who usually reads our newspaper, but its the purest of the truths: Anderson is really a "craque",  those kind of "craques" that's worth paying good money for just to see them play... Against Turkey, the brazilian genius showed once again the reasons that made FC Porto buy him from Grémio; Anderson played always at the speed of a jet, not only that, he showed an extraordinary technical hability, much superior than the other 26 players that played on that very same pitch.

The future FC Porto  player still tried to commit a sin in the World Cup semi-final - turn it into a great game but without a great history. And he tried to do it right away with a fabulous first half: he made an assist for the first goal, scored the second in an individual play, and even took the turkish defender Erkan Ferin to desperation followed to expulsion, since he got the two yellows that got him the red. Brasil got to the half-time with a confortable 3-0 lead (Marcelo scored the third) versus a apathic Turkey reduced to 10. What looked easy, got complicated, due to a virus that this week had already attacked a portuguese team that dresses in blue and white... Brasil, anxious to score more goals in the second half, suffered three, and letted Turkey tie, even though they were playing with one more player. Unbelievable. Not knowing how to defend normally turns out to be a deadly sin, and Brasil didn't die only because they had a genius on the field... In decision time, more precisely in the last minute, and when the brazilians were already afraid of a probable embarassing loss, Anderson took the ball and the responsability to kill the game. And he did. He passed by two players, got in the area and offered the goal to Igor, who only had to tap the ball in.
Just like a european club representative that watched the game from the press tribune, Anderson really makes you remember the great genius of the game; Maradona was once again used has a term of comparation...

Giovanni Di Marzio, Juventus scout:

"He was once again fantastic and made the diference"

"Anderson played really well. He was simply amazing! He played on the position which I think he plays better, behind the striker, and once again he showed a great technical hability. He can easily change pace. He also made me remember Kaká, but with a diference: he can be faster! At the second half, when he had to play as a foward, he felt some dificulties, but it wasn't his fault... He scored a goal and made two goal assists. He was the man of the match, made the diference and demonstrated once again that he is one of a kind."

YOU CAN'T IMAGINE HOW EXCITED I AM... I really can't wait until December! beer.gif

Wow, I even can imagine Co Adriaanse playing him as a center back so instead of the usual 8 guys attacking and 2 defending, we can have 9 ATTACKING AND ONLY ONE DEFENDING! laugh.gif

MDeep.10
he will be a great player but he wont perform straight away for porto i think next season then he will be ready to perform.

Cuzzy, I know that im just educating everyone that he has signed for Porto, and chelsea should they want him in three years, basically get him.

It was initated to smooth over Mourinho's move to Chelsea as thier Manager, thats the reason why we paid so much for Ricardo Carvahlo, and thats the reason why Porto have all of a sudden brought a load of Brazilians, It is part of a Worldwide scheme Chelsea has been plotting to further Monopolise the Foootball transfer Market.

Psv, Corinthians and CSKA are also thought to be in this conglomerate.

Nah mate, you're wrong. The only player that was bought by Porto that could eventually have been transfered to Chelsea was Luis Fabiano, due to the MSI connection. Since he was a flop, he was just sold to Sevilla.

I garantee you there is no agreement whatsoever between Chelsea and Porto. Unlike Chelsea or CSKA, Porto is actually owned by the fans.
Portista
Yup Mega is right. The transfer of Anderson doesn't have connactions to Chelsea.

Man I heard so mant good things and I am so lucky because I get to watch him tomorrow in the u-17 finals. The game will be played at 11pm, a little late so I will record the game and perhaps watch it on Monday. Can't wait to see the kid play.
mEGa
TBH, it will be very dificult for him to win a place in the starting eleven, for that he has to really be all "that". So I believe he will be benched just like Messi is at Barça to give him experience.

Imagine him, Quaresma, Alan, Diego and Jorginho together (which will never happen at the same time, maybe three of them + Anderson).. and you still have César Peixoto who has good dribbling skills aswell.. its crazy! If he could also adapt to a striker position it would be awesome! No more Sokota...

He also has ATM the perfect coach to develop his offensive skills. So I believe he can only get better... man I'm really excited.

Hey, since he is Anderson maybe we can also call him Deco tongue.gif

Hopefully better lol.

I just hope he puts on a goof performance tomorrow. I'm still trying to find the goal he scored yesterday.

To be honest, I hope this is like the last young player we're going to buy because Porto still has so many talented players in the youth system ( Bruno Gama, Machado, Vieirinha, Sousa etc ) That since Porto is a pretty young team, I'm starting to get nervous if any of these players will get the chance. Hopefully they will.

any videos of that perfect performance of him? biggrin.gif
SLB!!
i heard he got injured
Gremista
Portista, the point of this thread and pretty much the point of many threads from ppl following Anderson is that hes not a normal, good or very good youth. Hes a very "special" player with such prowess, that can become the best player in the world in a short time (he's 17).

Gremio president (who has very good relationship with Porto's) got Anderson until the end of the Year so gremio (who is leading serie B now) can go back to serie A. The reason is that he can't play for Porto right now, being underage, his mother has to work in Portugal for 3 months I hear and Gremio still own 15% of Anderson if Im not mistaken with number.

Yes, he got injured at sixth minute, in the beginning of the final, he passed by two players near the box and the second one tackled him from behind (didnt even get a yellow). He sprang his ankle and will be out for at least 3 weeks... Which is the reason a player of Anderson caliber should not be called for youth competitions.

Gremio has invested more than they should to get out of Serie B, they pretty much hired exclusively players from Serie A to play in serie B. If Gremio doesn't come back this year next year they will have serie B players playing in serie B......... crying.gif Now they have to do it without their best player.

cheers
ricci
damn, I just hope it doenst turn out like ronaldo, getting an injure and stopping the "geniouses" of him biggrin.gif...

cant wait for that guy to come over the atlantic... I just hope we stay in european competitions so he can show his magic ...

You can choose what you want to belive but i promise you that Anderson has signed for Porto en route to Chelsea.

I know that 100%, and it is part of the reason why he rejected Inter Milan.

chelsea aint going to buy any other player from porto again, abramovich said after the signings of our players.

so stop talking crap.
Portista
Inter milan? Um when did they show interest? Benfica, Sporting and Porto were going for him at the same time, and I beleive he almost joinded Benfica but in the end picked Porto.

I am pissed because I finally get to see him play, but than poof, injured after about 3 mins. So I really can't comment on his performance.
ffl19
Damn, I´m sure gonna miss Anderson here in Gremio crying.gif
He was one of the reasons we had to go to the stadium this year...always putting up a show. I can think of 2 or 3 genious plays he made this year, from the top of my head. Real class stuff.
Porto just got itself a great player, and with a lot to improve yet. wink.gif

Ricci's getting emotional.

I can understand that, but even a poster b4 was talking about the Fabiano purchase.

Listen, he will enjoy like 3 or 4 years their don't worry too much but I can guarantee you, that If Chelsea decide to take him they will.
ffl19
I can´t remember Inter MIlao showing interest in him, the Italian team that wanted to take Anderson was Palermo thumbsup.gif

Inter Milan were the first team to show an Intrest, Palermo was the team that was going to get 50% of his registration.
Portista
Chelsea will get him him if they pay 60 mil. whistling.gif biggrin.gif

Anderson though Porto was the right choice, for reaons such as, similar game style in Brazil and he doesn't have to learn a new language.

If he is smart he will stay away from Chelsea, he will be a regualr starter for one season than before you know it he will be loaned the season after that. I mean Robben isn't really a regular starter... HOW?

As I said, that information about Inter Milan didn´t make to Brasil...never read anything about it in the newspapers rolleyes.gif

And I guess he´ll stay away from Chelsea, he was smart enough to choose a league that has a playing style similar to Brasil. He´s a smart kid
Portista
Heck I never even got that info here in Canada, I don't think it was even in Portugal.

Where did you hear this? I know how bad the English media can be. Not trying to bash, but I find the most bullshit stories from England and Spain. Thats why I don't even bother reading it anymore.

Why is Canada so special they should get it. I just hope that we can revive this thread when his playing for Chelsea.

To show all the doubters what is what.

I really hope jose backs up our NT while deco's still there... very unlikely but time will tell..
AGUIA-SLB
I don't know where you are getting this idea that Chelsea is part of the Anderson deal. I would like to see some proof, because following this story for awhile and i didn't even see Chelsea's name.

Just because Porto buys a player doesn't mean Chelsea is somewhat involved.
ffl19
What I know and what´s been reported on brasilian press, and what I know from knowing some people that work at Gremio is that Anderson was sold to a group of portuguese business men, and those men would put him at Porto.
mEGa
Exactly, and Porto bought the whole 75% that belonged to the group. The other 25% still belongs to Grémio.

There is no connection whatsoever to Chelsea, you can take my word for granted.

Wow, easy man. I'm just saying that no one seems to have gotten this message of yours, not even in Brazil! I think that alone imo is enough to prove that there is no connection of Chelsea.

Sounds like porto have a got a great player for the future gd for them but i just wonder how long they can keep him....i'm sayin he'll leave porto by the age of around 18-20, hes a great player but im not to sure if he can be the nxt ronaldinho as some said

Thats a great theory!!! Considering that he'll JOIN Porto at 18 HE WILL DEFINITIVELY LEAVE AT 18... rolleyes.gif

And yeah I totally agree, he won't be the next Ronaldinho, he will be the next Anderson.
Ruinz
awesome article, I cant wait for him to join the team in December. I just hope he lives up to the hype and adapts quickly to Portuguese football.
