I was just wondering how many of you guys wore a mouthguard. I don't, I find them extremely annoying. I just hope I don't regret it
Pubes
im a keeper and one time i got my face smashed in and i had trauma in my lip and i had a few loose teeth after so after that i wear one..its not annoying cuz they mold to your mouth and you can still talk on the field..

mouth guards suck u cant talk very well banana.gif
Burns
I don't, but I will if I ever lose any teeth during a game, maybe even not then. The worst thing that happened to me was two weeks ago was when I got knocked out. I'm still waiting to lose the pearly whites.
Bipolar Keeper
ha yea the same thing happened to me as american keep. i was playing out of the goal (im a keeper) and i was playing foward and ran right smack into the post and got a concussion. my mom thought i had died. but no no mouthguard for me.

I think I'd rather loose my teeth than wear thsoe things. They so uncomfortable. Im supposed to get one for Hockey but I refuse. Theres no danger of getting ones teeth knocked out in soccer anyway

I'd say you're more likely to be in a car accident on the way to the match than getting your teeth knocked out during it.

Yeah well I got five of my teeth chipped and I still refuse to wear one. My dentist was like "We can make special ones that mold exactly to your teeth and won't be uncomfortable." and I just told him that I would never wear one. Chipping my teeth did really suck but won't ever wear a mouthgard. I've have one moouth related injury on 14 years of playing soccer. That's not enough to get me to wear one.

You want to elaborate on how that happened? blink.gif

I would never wear one, the only real threat is if someone kicks you mouth when your on the ground, if face gets hit by ball i would be more worried for my nose than teeth, and i usually shield my face w/ my arms anyways. And maybe when going for headers someone may elbow you.. but im careful.
