I thought it would be interesting to make a topic where people could write down the weight of their boot and their size (as weight varies greatly with size). Maybe even before and after a game to see how much the weight increases. My preds feel about twice as heavy after a game on wet grass.
I actually think the weight that you can see for each boot on soccer.com is a bit dubious. They must take the weight of a kids boot and claim that is the weight of the boot in general, which is not true!
I weighed my Nike AZT 3 a while ago and it was 350 grams roughly. This is considerably more than what soccer.com say for example.

i think they put the weight of the size 7 or 9 boot on there as the weight

Yeah, the weight depends on the size

How much does Eurosport claim them to be....when you said they weighed twice as much on wet grass, wet was the key. The leather absorbs the water and makes it heavier. It happens to my preds and that's why i use my AZT2s in wet conditions.

ya the water was the reason it weighed so much more than it was supposed to. also, yes its true if u have a size 8.5 and a size 13 there will be more material in the size 13 and therefore weigh more, but the net weight difference won't be as much as u all think. i mean if u buy a pair of vapors in size 13 they aren't going to be like 10 ounces or even 8. they'll still be somewhere in the 7. ounce range. so ya bigger sizes do add weight, but its soo minimal it doesn't matter. especially if ur going to compare like a size 9 to a size 10.5, they'll b virtually no difference.
