I just purchased these yesterday, pretty good so far...I have not played with them yet which will be the real test...

I think that it is only the material, and the weight.

the Air Zoom Total 90's are the elite model so to speak, the ones that are basically the same as the pro's boots. the ones you have bought are probably a bit heavier, which will of course make u kick the ball softer, run slower, not be able to tackle as hard, jump as high, you name it, if you'd bought the other ones it would make no difference to how you had played. Seriously the only difference is the heel cup on yours is synthetic not plastic
